Murchison Falls National Park - Your driver/guide will collect you from your accommodation to begin your journey to Murchison Falls NP. Highlights of this park include the thunderous Murchison Falls and the expansive plains of Uganda’s largest National Park, where you can spot lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. You’ll also be amazed by the abundance of hippos and Nile crocodiles. En route, visit Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for at least an hour of rhino tracking. Stop in Masindi for lunch before continuing to the park to check into your accommodation and unwind for the evening.
Murchison Game Viewing and Afternoon Boat Trip to the Falls’ Base
Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive across the vast plains of Uganda’s largest National Park, where you can see lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy spotting the secretary bird and black-chested snake eagle. Return to your accommodation for rest and lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where you can see more animals, including hippos and crocodiles, as well as various water birds. Optionally, hike to the top of the falls for an unforgettable experience. Return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening.
Depart Murchison and Head to Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale National Park - After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park. The scenic drive passes through villages, lush green countryside, and hills adorned with tea plantations. Kibale NP is renowned for its primates, including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. On the chimpanzee trails, these primates are often seen swinging in the trees and feeding on wild fruits. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation, enjoy dinner, and rest overnight.
Kibale Chimp Habituation Experience and Relaxation
Kibale National Park - After breakfast, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime chimp habituation experience in Kibale Forest. Join Kibale’s research and habituation team in their daily activities, spending much of the day with these fascinating creatures, observing them nesting, feeding, and playing, while receiving expert insights. Gorilla Bookings - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a highlight for many visitors, as it is home to the gentle giants. Located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley, this ancient and biologically diverse rainforest has survived over 25,000 years, even enduring the last Ice Age. Bwindi is the only forest in Africa hosting both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. Arrive in the early afternoon, rest, and then head out for late afternoon game viewing. Expect to see eland antelopes, zebras, topis, impalas, warthogs, Uganda kob, and Cape buffaloes. Entebbe - Enjoy an early breakfast and embark on a morning park/nature walk in Mburo with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. During this guided walk, you may encounter hyenas returning to their dens and have close encounters with zebras, giraffes, eland, topi, and other antelopes, as well as Cape buffaloes. Follow the trail to the hilltops for a panoramic view of Lake Mburo and beyond, including nine of the twelve lakes surrounding the park.
