For many, this is the highlight of their Ugandan tour. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the only forest in Africa with both mountain gorillas and other primates. It also hosts five other primate species, 113 mammal species, over 200 butterfly species, and 360 bird species. The gorillas you track belong to one of nine habituated family groups that tolerate human presence for a short time each day. Tracking can take two to seven hours, and once located, you’ll have an hour with the gorillas.
