The bus will be waiting for you to return to the station square and to continue your visits perhaps to the Archaeological Park of Ercolano. This is the only opportunity to go up to Vesuvius and above all with the entrance ticket included that allows you to plan your trip in advance and not run into last minute problems, being every day always sold out. Please note: the scheduled entrance could be postponed for reasons of force majeure related to the influx of daily bookings, therefore we ask for patience and understanding, for us the important thing is to be able to let you enjoy the crater!

Meeting point at our I Point Ercolano office 30 minutes before the official departure. We are located 20 meters to the right past the exit of the Ercolano Scavi train station, reachable from Naples via the train to Poggiomarino Via Scafati, or from Sorrento via the train to Naples. Send a message via whatsapp once you have finished to complete your reservation, thank you!
NOTE: trains headed to Sorrento from Naples will not stop at the Ercolano Scavi station due to a temporary service variation. In case you find yourself on such a ride, get off at Torre Annunziata and take a train headed back to Naples; trains to Naples from Torre Annunziata will stop at every station, including Ercolano Scavi.

Great excursion to see a real volcano! - Strongly recommend getting an uber or taxi to the meeting spot. There’s not a lot of parking near their location, and they do leave right on time! However, the excursion itself was amazing. The bus was clean and the driver was great at navigating the windy roads up the mountain. The hike to the top was steep but definitely doable. Once you get to the coffee shop, you’re there! Incredible views of Naples, the bay, and peeking down into the volcano. If hiking 1.3km vertically is not your thing, this is a great option.

Totally worth it! - We had so much fun on this bus ride to Mt. Vesuvius. The driver, Ciatoh (no idea how to spell his name, but it made me think "Cheetoh"), was amazing! He was kind, informative, and has phenomenal driving skills! We had more than enough time to explore the volcano before heading back to the bus. The walk up is relatively easy. We even got to see some steam coming out of the volcano! Highly recommend this!

Just for us! - Didn't realise there was an open-top minibus that left from just outside the carpark at Herculaneum. It was only 15 € and the audio is in 8 languages. Make sure you take photos of the statues on route. We didn't get out to walk the 400m to the top (bad ankle) but the stop further down to enjoy the views of the Bay were super.
It was so quiet, we were theobly ones on the bus

The best way to visit Vesuvius - Our hearts sank when we saw that tickets for Vesuvius had sold out, then we saw the tour from Ercolano with bus included. What a find! A quick trip out of the bustle of Naples and with the pick up point next to the station, it couldn’t have been easier. No crowds to contend with, spot on time and with just the right amount of time on the volcano. The office even looked after our luggage for us while we were on the tour. Thanks to all
the staff who helped to make our day so enjoyable!

Amazing time but rushed. Do not be late! - This tour goes rain or shine. It rained the day we went and was still awesome! The bus took us to a level that has bathrooms and sells ponchos and stuff, so if you forget you will be ok. The tour felt a little rushed. I believe that to be true raining or not. We were told to be back down in 2 hrs. Two of us were down 15 min early and the bus driver was very angry and did not want to wait for the other 2 in our party. He did not speak English, but he went to get someone who did and the young man he got was so kind and helpful and he made the bus driver wait! Otherwise he most definitely would have left without us! Early is late on this tour!

Beautiful excursion - Uncomplicated and cheaper than driving directly from Naples. The Circumvesuviana takes you directly to the starting point in Herculaneum. Afterwards you can visit the excavations in Herculaneum.

Steep climb - Wear good walking shoes as the path is very steep in places and rocky. There is not a great deal to see when you get to the top. Glad I have done it but wouldn’t do it again

Not a tour at all. - It was not a tour. It was a bus ride and a ticket into Vesuvius. He told us absolutely nothing about Vesuvius. We had to wait 15 minutes after the meeting time for him to show up. Save money by buying your ticket from one of two places in Ercolano right by the train station.
