Suddenly, the landscape opens up to reveal the most stunning panoramic view that Tenerife has to offer. From here, the Masca gorge and the surrounding volcanic terrain can be seen below. On a clear day, the highlight is a magnificent view of Mount Teide, standing tall in the distance across the Santiago valley and the elevated lava fields. The hike continues along gentle footpaths through a Pine forest, descending gracefully into a valley reminiscent of the English countryside.
This is a moderate hike, covering 12 km with a 375m ascent/descent over varied terrain. The maximum altitude is 1100m, and the hike takes approximately 5 hours.
