• Historic Center of Cesky Krumlov - A visit to the charming south Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov is sure to be a highlight of any holiday in the Czech Republic. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992, Cesky Krumlov is one of Bohemia’s most picturesque towns, featuring elegant Renaissance-style buildings that house quaint cafes, excellent restaurants, and intriguing shops.

During the city tour, visitors can wander through the narrow, romantic streets of the Renaissance Old Town, which includes medieval buildings, enjoy views from a footbridge over the Vltava River, and visit the impressive Egon Schiele Art Centre. The Hotel Ruze, a former Jesuit College, boasts beautiful Renaissance sgraffito.

The tour also includes a visit to Saint Vitus Church and the town square, which features a Renaissance town hall, Plague Column, and fountain. Latran Street, with its colorful medieval houses, is next on the itinerary.

• Cesky Krumlov Castle - The Castle of Cesky Krumlov is the town’s premier attraction. With five courtyards and 11 hectares of gardens, it draws tourists from around the globe. The castle became the main residence of the Rosenbergs in 1302, who resided there for nearly 300 years, significantly impacting the castle’s and town’s history. A golden carriage, crafted from gilded walnut in 1638, is a highlight, having been used to transport gifts from the newly-elected Emperor Ferdinand III von Habsburg to Pope Urban VIII. Additionally, Cesky Krumlov boasts a Baroque theatre, one of the oldest of its kind in Europe, built between 1680 and 1682. It is among the few Baroque theatres worldwide that retains its original stage machinery, costumes, scenery, and props. Our guide can show the castle exteriors, and if desired, visitors can purchase admission on-site by card to join a castle group tour led by a castle guide.
• Ceske Budejovice - If desired, a stop can be made at the historic square in Ceske Budejovice (Budweis) along the way, where the original Budweiser beer can be sampled. If visiting Ceske Budejovice is preferred, the visit to Cesky Krumlov will be adjusted accordingly to ensure the total tour duration does not exceed 10 hours.
