- Temple of Khnum - A Nile Holiday expert tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your Luxor hotel and accompany you to the Temple of Esna. This temple is dedicated to the triad of Khnum, Neith, and their offspring Heka. The site is renowned for its stunning and magnificent architecture, constructed from red sandstone on the Nile’s west bank. Originally dating back to the reign of Thutmose II (1493 to 1479 BC), the remains of Latopolis are from the Ptolemaic and Roman periods.
- Tombs of El Kab - Continue south for about 30km to El Kab, where you will find rock-cut tombs from the early 18th Dynasty (1550–1295 BC) on the east bank of the Nile at the mouth of Wadi Hillal. Visit the tomb of Ahmose, son of Ibana, which contains significant biographical accounts of the Hyksos expulsion from Egypt by the early 18th Dynasty kings. Noteworthy tombs include those of Pahery and Renni, dating to the reign of Thutmose III, with some of the site’s most beautiful decorations. Explore the ruins and mud-brick outer wall of ancient Nekhen, the religious and political capital of Upper Egypt at the end of the Predynastic period (c. 3200 – 3100 BC). After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
