- Beaver Creek - Next on the itinerary are the Beaver Ponds, offering a gentle boardwalk through serene and beautiful wetlands.

Note: The tour spans over 40 miles, includes more than 60 audio stories, and takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete.
Purchase once and enjoy for a year! Perfect for extended visits and return trips over the next 12 months.
- Many Parks Curve Overlook - Next, you’ll reach the Many Parks Curve Overlook, offering stunning views of three beautiful mountain meadows.
- Rainbow Curve Overlook - The following stop is the Rainbow Curve Overlook, located at an altitude where most trees can no longer grow, providing some truly remarkable views!
- Ute Trail - At the next trail, the Ute Trailhead, you’ll discover the history of the Ute tribe, who once inhabited the Rockies.
- Forest Canyon Overlook - Continuing onward, you’ll arrive at the Forest Canyon Overlook, offering a view from 12,000 feet up. You’ll also learn about the Arapaho tribe while enjoying the scenery.
- Lava Cliffs Overlook - Your journey continues to the Lava Cliffs Overlook. Although “lava” might not be the first thought when considering the Rocky Mountains, these 28 million-year-old cliffs will certainly change that perception!
- Gore Range Overlook - Next, you’ll visit the Gore Range Overlook. This intriguingly named range is known for its deep red hue at certain times of the day, and you might just witness that striking sight during your visit!
- Alpine Visitor Center - You’ll pass by the Alpine Visitor Center next. Not only is it a great spot for snacks and restrooms, but it’s also the highest-elevation visitor center in any US national park!
- Medicine Bow Curve - At the Medicine Bow Curve, coming up next, don’t forget your camera! This viewpoint is so elevated that you can see the state of Wyoming from here!
- Forest Canyon Overlook - Have you ever seen an alpine lake? That’s next, at Poudre Lake. This lake is so high up that it freezes completely, from top to bottom, each winter.
- Farview Curve Overlook - Continuing on, you’ll reach the Fairview Curve Viewpoint, providing an excellent view of the Never Summer Mountain Range.
- Colorado River Trail - The next trail leads to fantastic views of the renowned Colorado River. Here, you’ll also learn some surprising history about the river.
- Holzwarth Historic Site - More history awaits at the Holzwarth Historic Site. Once home to a small family, it became one of the nation’s first dude ranches before the area was designated a national park.
- Bowen-Baker Trailhead - Up next is the Bowen/Baker Trailhead, marking the beginning of one of the park’s longest trails. Experienced hikers seeking a challenge will definitely want to explore this one!
- Coyote Valley Trail - The next trail, the Coyote Valley Trail, is perfect for hikers looking for a shorter, easier journey. This trek also offers fishing opportunities!
- Onahu Trailhead - The Ute and Arapaho weren’t the only tribes to call the Rockies home. You’ll learn about another, the Onahu, at the Onahu Trailhead up next.
- Grand Lake - The main tour concludes in the town of Grand Lake, which provides all the amenities needed after a long, rewarding day in the Rockies.
- Moraine Park Museum - If you choose to take the Bear Lake detour, you’ll first arrive at the Moraine Park Amphitheater, dating back to the park’s earliest days.
- Bear Lake Trailhead - After that, you’ll reach the Cub Lake Trailhead, where you’ll learn about the lasting impact of wildfires within the park.
- Fern Lake - Beyond that is the Fern Lake Trailhead, an ideal stop for hikers seeking peace and quiet away from the crowds.
- Odessa Lake-Flattop Mountain Junc. - As you follow the route, you’ll find it hard to miss Eagle Cliff Mountain, named for the golden eagles and bald eagles frequently seen in this area.
- Eagle Cliff Mountain - Searching for a picturesque picnic spot? You’ll find it next, at Hollowell Park.
- Hollowell Park - A relaxing destination with numerous picnic tables and excellent views of Mill Creek Basin below Longs Peak.
- Sprague Lake - Continuing on, you’ll arrive at Sprague Lake, one of the best spots in the entire park to catch the sunrise. If you can get here early enough, it’s highly recommended!
- Bear Lake Trailhead - After that is the Bierstadt Lake Trailhead. This lake is as beautiful as Sprague Lake and tends to have fewer visitors, so be sure to stop by if you want to enjoy a bit of wilderness solitude.
- Glacier Gorge Junction Trailhead - The next trail, at Glacier Gorge Junction, offers a great trek through the park’s famous quaking aspens. These iconic aspens are among the hardiest trees around!
- Bear Lake Trailhead - Finally, you’ll arrive at Bear Lake. This immense lake is a phenomenal spot to end your journey, capture a few final photos, and bask in the pristine beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
- Garden of the Gods - The Central Gardens is an easy, two-mile trail through the heart of the Garden of the Gods. It’s an excellent introduction to this fantastic place, offering a chance to see some of the most famous formations in the park. Note: This 6.5-mile-long tour covers the essentials of Garden of the Gods in 1-2 hours.
- Kissing Camels Golf Course - The first thing to know is that the two camels aren’t actually two different rocks. At one time, they looked no different than the rest of this rock face. But there was a small crack within one layer of the sandstone. A crack so small it was practically invisible.
- Garden of the Gods - Garden of the Gods is a popular tourist attraction in Colorado Springs, Colorado, known for its stunning red rock formations that resemble ancient castles and spires. The park offers a variety of hiking trails, including the popular Balanced Rock Trail, and is a great place for rock climbing, photography, and simply enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
- Siamese Twins Trail - The Siamese Twins Trail is ahead on our right. This mile-long trail takes about 20 minutes and features two amazing rocky spires. Turn into the parking lot on the right if you’d like to hike the trail.
- Balanced Rock - It’s impossible to miss Balanced Rock from here. This huge formation appears to balance impossibly on a red sandstone platform. So how does it do it? Despite the name and appearance, this rock is actually not balancing. It’s all part of one formation!
- Giant Footprints - The Giant Footprints looks like another rock formation, but something’s a little off-kilter. Literally! Ordinarily, the strata of rock are horizontal, like a lasagna. But here, they’re diagonal, pointing at a 45-degree angle. It’s like a giant stepped on a loose floorboard.
- South Gateway Rock - South Gateway Rock, which we passed earlier. Notice all the little pockmarks in the face of it? Those actually point to one of the more challenging features of climbing this kind of sandstone.
