Day 1: Jinka - Mago National Park - Mursi Tribes - Turmi

Mago National Park - Upon arrival at Jinka airport, the journey will continue to Mago National Park to explore the Mursi village. The Mursi are among the unique ethnic groups in Ethiopia, residing in low huts constructed from straw leaves. The women are known for adorning their significantly stretched lower lips and ear lobes with terra cotta. After visiting, the drive will return to Jinka and then proceed to the town of Turmi for an overnight stay. Later, there will be a visit to the Hammer tribes.

Turmi - Omorate - Key Afer - Jinka

Dimeka Market - In Dimeka, visitors can observe four different ethnic groups including the Hammer, Tsemay, Ari, and Kara. After ample time at the markets, the journey will continue to Jinka, with a stop at the charming villages of Tsemay.

Jinka - Addis Ababa - Departure

South Omo Research Centre Museum - After breakfast, the drive will head to the town of Jinka. Following lunch, the trip will proceed to visit the Ari people, the largest group in the lower Omo Valley. The women craft skirts from a banana-like tree called Enset and are skilled in pottery. Later, there will be a transfer to Jinka Airport for the flight to Addis Ababa. In the evening, a folkloric dinner will offer the opportunity to taste various national dishes and enjoy dances from Ethiopia’s diverse ethnic groups. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be part of the experience. Finally, there will be a transfer to the airport for departure.
