• Stachus - The meeting point is at 8:45 a.m. at Sonnenstrasse 1, 80331 Munich. Look for the tour bus labeled “Mentor Reisen,” where a welcoming driver and guide will greet you upon check-in. Departure is at 9:00 a.m., passing by several Munich landmarks, which the guide will describe, en route to Linderhof Palace and the Venus Grotto. Starting May 1st, departures are at 8:30 a.m., with the meeting time at 8:15 a.m.
• Venusgrotte - Arrival at the Linderhof Palace parking area is around 10 a.m. After the guide collects the tickets from the ticket center, the group will walk to the Venus Grotto. The path is slightly uphill and takes about 20 minutes. The guided tour of the man-made grotto with a lake lasts approximately 15 minutes and is conducted live in English. The vibrant colors and interior design will captivate you. After a decade of authentic restoration, the grotto reopened to visitors in 2025.

Note: Available only during summer from May 1st to October 15th.

• Schloss Linderhof - Around 11 a.m., the group will leave the grotto and proceed to Linderhof Palace. Visitors can explore the palace gardens independently before heading to the palace entrance. This smallest, fully furnished palace was constructed in the 19th century, reflecting French Rococo and Baroque styles, influenced by the Palace of Versailles in both architecture and gardens. The guided tour, conducted live in English, begins at 11:40 a.m. and lasts about 30 minutes. The tour bus departs at 12:30 p.m.

• Oberammergau - Between Linderhof Palace and the village of Hohenschwangau, beneath Neuschwanstein Castle, lies the artistic village of Oberammergau. Renowned for its facade painting (Lüftl-Malerei) and woodcarving, the village is also famous for the Passion Plays held every 10 years, depicting the last week of Jesus’ life from Palm Sunday to Easter. A coach tour of the town allows for a more comprehensive view than a brief stop.

• Schloss Neuschwanstein - After a 50-minute bus ride, arrival in Hohenschwangau is expected. The guide will collect skip-the-line tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle. There will be free time for lunch at local restaurants, a walk to Hohenschwangau Castle, or a stroll along the Alpsee. The Marienbridge offers a breathtaking view of Neuschwanstein Castle and is a must-see. Neuschwanstein Castle can be reached on foot (a 30-40 minute uphill walk), by shuttle bus, or by horse-drawn carriage for a fee. The guide will provide detailed information. The guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle starts shortly after 4:00 PM and lasts about 25 minutes with an audio guide. Please return directly to the tour bus afterward. The return trip to Munich departs at 5:30 PM.
