Captain Josh is second to none - Captain Josh was born and raised in the Everglades, and it shows! He’s not just a tour guide—he’s a dolphin whisperer and a walking encyclopedia of the Everglades. His knowledge, passion, and storytelling bring this unique ecosystem to life. Be sure to ask him about the documentaries he’s filmed or contributed to—his behind-the-scenes stories are just as fascinating as the tour itself. Hands down, the best tour ever! 🐬🌿🎥

A vacation highlight - Wow!!! Above and beyond what we expected. Dolphins were a highlight. Definitely take a waterproof camera for underwater shots. I’ll be back with more friends and family in the future.

Best Tour to Take - We went on the tour as a couple, and even though we were the only ones, we got the royal treatment. Captain Josh was amazing! We enjoyed all the wildlife and saw several dolphins. We found several cool shells on our beach walk. We especially enjoyed just listening to Captain Josh. I don’t think we could have had as good an experience with anyone else. He grew up here and we learned so much more than we thought we would. It was really interesting. Thank you for the awesome tour!❤️😊

Stories and wildlife spotting - Our guide grew up in the area and his boyhood stories and knowledge of the history and natural history of the islands was very interesting. We enjoyed the interaction with the dolphins as they played in the boat wake and spotting the different types of herons. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful tour- highly recommend - Our tour with Josh was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the eco system and the history of the area. We came away with a real appreciation of the beauty, history and peacefulness of the Everglades. Our favorite parts were the dolphins and the boat ride itself. The dolphins just seemed to love Josh and his boat and gave us quite a show playing in the wake. We also enjoyed seeing some birds and a quick glimpse of a sea turtle. and the stop at Pavillion Key. The Everglades are so beautiful and this is a perfect way to experience it.

An excellent trip out to the 1000 Islands, recommended for wildlife enthusiasts - We booked direct with the owner of the business ( Josh) and his communication with us prior to the trip was excellent and I would recommend you do likewise. The maximum capacity of his boat is 6 but if 4 book on together, as we did, he tends to close the slot meaning it becomes a 'private tour'. Josh may not be the cheapest in the Everglades City area but I think he he is probably one of the best - and certainly the best of the many guides I have been out with over the years. He has a wealth of local knowledge backed up by a passion for wildlife and a degree in the field of marine science. While we only glimpsed a sea turtle we saw many local birds, some common and some more unusual, and encountered numerous Dolphin who played happily in the boats wake for many minutes.
