- Centro Interpretativo dos Almendres - The Cromeleque of the Almendres is a monumental reflection of the era of pagan enchantment, often referred to as the New Age of the Stone. Constructed to align with sunrise and sunset, this megalithic site is situated on a gentle slope within the Almendres estate. It is a location that beautifully represents the Alentejo region. Comprising two distinct enclosures, built between the late sixth and third millennium BC, this cromlech is among the largest and most significant megalithic monuments globally, predating the renowned Stonehenge.
- Cathedral of Evora (Se Catedral de Evora) - Its silhouette is visible from afar, standing out in the urban landscape. The grandeur of the Cathedral of Évora is evident in its three large naves. In the tallest, the central nave, stands the altar of Our Lady of the Angel, crafted entirely from Baroque-era wood carving, featuring Gothic images of the Virgin Mary and the Angel Gabriel in marble. Additionally, visitors can admire the pulpit and the exquisite Renaissance period pipe organ.
- Capela dos Ossos - Constructed in the 17th century, the chapel was designed to convey the message of the transience and fragility of human life. This message is clearly presented to visitors of the Chapel of Bones, right at the entrance, through the plaque “We bones, are here, for you, we wait.” It reflects the Baroque era’s fascination with the macabre. Human bones and skulls, meticulously arranged and cemented, cover the walls and eight pillars of the Bones Chapel.
- Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana) - This Roman temple in Evora is one of the largest and best-preserved Roman temples on the Iberian Peninsula. It was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. It serves as the city’s emblem, akin to a business card, and is the most significant Roman relic in Evora.
- Corticarte - Arte em Cortica - Exploring the world of cortiçarte offers a unique and inspiring experience. Visiting a workshop, exhibition, or cork factory provides the opportunity to discover the diverse possibilities of this natural and sustainable material, while also appreciating the creativity and skill of the artisans who work with it.
