Before or after your soak, you have the option to dine at the resort’s local restaurant — a welcoming place to savor hearty Alaskan cuisine, warm beverages, and share laughter with fellow travelers.

Later, journey to prime locations to witness the Aurora Borealis dance across the Arctic sky. While the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, your guide will provide the best opportunity to see them — and share the legends, science, and stories behind their glow.

Even on the rare occasions when the aurora remains hidden, you will still enjoy one of Alaska’s most iconic evenings: hot springs, ice art, delicious food, and starry skies in the heart of the Last Frontier.

Immerse. Radiate. Imagine. Begin your evening with a picturesque drive from Fairbanks into the heart of Alaska’s wilderness, arriving at Chena Hot Springs Resort.

Upon arrival, take pleasure in exploring the renowned Ice Museum, showcasing illuminated ice sculptures and frozen artistry. Following this, guests have the option to dine at the resort’s restaurant (optional; meals and beverages not included) or skip dinner to enjoy more time soaking. Those who bring snacks or opt for lighter meals will have additional time in the hot springs.

Unwind in the outdoor mineral-rich hot springs beneath the open sky, enveloped by steam, forest, and tranquility. After your soak, we’ll head to prime Aurora viewing spots to maximize your chances of witnessing the Northern Lights. While the aurora is not guaranteed, your guide will keep a close watch on conditions and share local insights and stories throughout the evening. Pick-up is scheduled between 4:30–5:30 PM, depending on the weather, with a return as late as 2:00 AM, allowing for extended viewing if the Northern Lights are particularly vibrant.
