Commence a refreshing river tubing escapade at the renowned Good Hope Estate in Jamaica. Set against the picturesque setting of the vibrant tropical landscape, you’ll start your adventure with a brief safety briefing and fitting of your individual flotation equipment. Drifting on the serene river, you’ll find yourself encapsulated by the exotic vegetation and wildlife, lulled by the harmonic chirping of tropical birds and the whispering rustles of foliages in the wind.
- ARRIVAL TIME Please note the time selected during checkout is your arrival time, not the hotel pickup time. Hotel pickups commence approximately 30 - 90 minutes prior to this time depending on the hotel location.

- Each bamboo raft hold 2 persons and guests are paired with their traveling party. If a single raft is required, a surcharge may apply at the location.

Awesome place with great service - This place is awesome! The guides are fabulous with great knowledge. Friendly, courteous, and always willing to please! Randall and Skip (Omani??) were our guides and Loved them!

Such a fun experience!! - My friends and I visited Chukka to do water tubing and bamboo rafting on the river. Presi was our tour guide for water tubing and he was so funny and gave a great tour! Marco and Tachi were our guides for the bamboo rafting and they were also super kind and fun!! Overall we had an amazing experience and hope to come back soon!

Oshine and Orlando - Oshine was an amazing photographer and got great shots! Orlando was the Appleton estate rep and he did an amazing job as well. Great history and the rum samples were generous. Ask for them! Also captain Marsh was great for the rafting!!!!!

Amazing tour and staff! - Our tour was absolutely amazing! It started with our driver Winston who was a great character and shared a lot of Jamaican knowledge/history with us. Prezzy was our tube driver and we had a great time with him as well, he brought lots of energy! Bushman took us on our rafting tour and made a straw that we literally use the rest of our stay as our hotel did not have any plastic straws! Our bamboo straws literally made it back to Michigan! The tour was absolutely amazing. It was a great excursion, would highly recommend. Make sure you bring money for tips, not expected, but always appreciated.

My son’s birthday trip - Overall, it was great! Our tour guide name was Dre (chief), he was young, but very knowledgeable. He even took pictures of my daughter and I, and being that I suffer with pain in my left leg, when he put the limewater on my leg; the pain went away; much better than the meds that I am taking for pain. They all interacted with so much joy with us and each other. Kept laughing and relaxed. Excellent group of young men!
This was a great birthday trip for my adult son.

Great experience! - Romaine made the tubing a relax fun and educational experience! I would go back again and tell a friend! My sister and I had a great birthday trip this was one of the highlight! The bamboo rafting after was so nice the limestone massage was so great for our skin!

Rafting in tubing, but no time for tasting - After a bit of confusion at the start, we went on the tubing and rafting excursions. Both were fun and relaxing. Our rafting guide Kaneel, made experience so wonderful and fun. He was very knowledgeable and fun and very good at everything he did, giving us a great experience.
Once we got back from these excursions, we went to do our rum tasting and we were told that we ran out of time and we had to get on the bus. We barely had time to get our stuff out of our lockers. We were very disappointed being that the rum tasting was the main reason why we went on these excursions. We were told we had to book two excursions, in order to get the rum tasting for 'free'. When we got back to the hotel and try to inquire about either getting some money back or why this even happened, we were told that it was the free part of the excursion and there was nothing they could do except talk to the staff. This was very frustrating for us as this not a inexpensive excursion once we converted it to Canadian dollars when we got home. The rest of the activities were good but don't count on the rum tasting.

Over rated for what you get - We were at the Riu Ocho Rios hotel, this meant at least 2h ride to get there (due to traffic and picking up other people at all the resorts going there), to which we were told only 45 mins to get there lol (the bus left at 8 am) but what they omitted mentionning to us, was that the check out time was at 2 pm for those who paid for 2 activities, in our case, the river tubing and bamboo rafting. If you paid for 3 activities (example adding the zipline) then you left at 5 pm. That being said, we were rushed the whole time we got there by the staff to be able to assist to the rum tasting, do our activities and be back on time for the ride back! What was sad about it, was that we never got to visit the site itself or the restaurant they have or the 6 pools/ waterfall they claim you can enjoy while there!!! We felt like we got cheaped out of our excursion money as we would have liked to have stayed till 5 pm to be able to profit from this place. So if we have a suggestion to the team organizing this outing please consider that folks further away from the activity might need more time to enjoy the place since there is already 2 hours going and 2 hours coming back just to get there! Add to this, we never got time to actually sit down and eat!! Breakfast at the hotel at 7 am was far away by 2 pm when we bought two Jamaican patties for the ride back home from the gift shop on the way out, as thats all the time we got!.
Either than that, it was a nice excursion, although don't expect a real leg/foot massage from the limestone on the bamboo rafting tour (it's more like, let me rub this on you and let it dry, to only rinse you off when we are done).
