Adrenaline Rush - Davion expertly guided us down the river in our tubes and through a high surf in our ocean kayak . River depth was low so many exposed rocks, ocean waves were massive.

Best Jamaican excursion - We did the River Rapids tour on Rio Bueno and Davian was our guide. It was amazing and Davian made it so much fun! We had kids ages 16 and 13 with us and they loved this tour so much as did we (the parents). I would highly recommend doing this tour and if you happen to get Davian as your guide you are guaranteed to have the best time!

Thanks for the quick repayment - Unfortunately, we could not dock in Ocho Rios by ship due to violent storm, so our planned Excursion out. We were really looking forward to it. I still award 5 stars for the uncomplicated and fast repayment of the organizer. Thank you so much!

Such a rich experience - It was our first time in Jamaica, trying the River Rapids thinking it would be just like any other water experience. Let me tell you, Davian our tour guide made this experience so warm, we felt we knew him and had been in Jamaica a long time. We learnt about the people, the culture, history, all of it while drifting down the tubes.. he made it so fun for our kids that they are requesting to go back. Thank you so much Davian- we hope to be back to this experience soon with you!

Amazing river walk! - Had a great time at the river walk! Lots of laughter, adventure, and excitement through the journey. Davian was the best tour guide and the experience wouldn’t have been as fun without him.

Ya Mon - it was great!!! - Great and fun experience overall. First time in Jamaica - we were picked up from the Falmouth Cruise Ship Pier. Driver pick us up on time and was super friendly and professional. First stop we went to the river rapids to get our helmets and life jackets and was provided with safety briefings. Our river guide Kenroi was amazing, had great sense of humor, and friendly. His stories made the ride to the rapids quite exciting! Then after the river adventures we headed to Bamboo beach for a swim, get some relaxation, while enjoying delicious local Jamaican foods and drinks. Tanya our guide was super knowledgeable, friendly and shared stories about Jamaican history, culture and people. Highly recommend this excursion! Only thing was it was not long enough - wanted more time especially considering the day was beautiful!!! Check it out!

A good experience if the beach isn’t your thing - We had a fun day, we had some trouble finding our driver as the directions we were given weren’t clear, I wish the driver had just sent a google maps pin for where he wanted us to go but for some reason he couldn’t. Anyway our driver Green has an outsized character which I can see might rub some people up the wrong way but he made a reasonably long journey pass more quickly with facts about Jamaican history and culture and the effects of the hurricane which then turned into a quiz, just go with it he’s a good guy who gave us plenty of good info on the way, we found his driving perfectly safe too. Our tubing guide Duane was really great and looked after us on the river very well. He told us how the hurricane had significantly damaged the river banks and pointed interesting things out as we floated along. We transferred to a rubber dinghy and paddled the last part of the trip out into the bay and along the beach where we saw a sea turtle swimming past which Duane spotted for us. Green met us at the beach and took us back via the obligatory souvenir shopping trip where there was no pressure selling, we bought blue mountain coffee beans and the price seemed about right. We were back at the ship by 2pm. All in all a good experience, it’s a shame the drive is quite long but they can’t do anything about where the river is

Was fun it would have been more beautiful if the weather was nice and our guide was fun and nice - Our guide was really funny and he kept acting like there was a snake but then he would say that it was a leaf. Our guide showed us and talk about some birds. He was very knowledgeable about the wild let and he knew a lot about it l.

A decent river experience, but transportation was THE WORST. Reschedule if your driver is Charlie! - Sorry for the length, but this review needs to be written. This is a two part review. The river rapids company was great. Friendly, thorough and accommodating. You can do this tour via raft or tubes. Four of us in the group did the tubes. Our tubes were tied together while our guide, Travis, floated behind us and directed us down the river. He did well keeping us away from the fallen trees and reeds in the water and explained what to do when we went down the small rapids. Half way down, there is a rope swing for you to try and Travis entertained us with a back flip into the river. Once you reach the ocean, you must transfer to a raft (no more rapids to move you) and you paddle approx 200 yards to the beach area, across the tide currents. Over all, the rapids were mildly entertaining and the paddling definitely gives a proper work out. The beach had bathrooms and a small outdoor bar and snack shack to get a bite, all in good condition. The beach was small but decent. The company gets a 4 due to nice customer service, rafts and safety equipment being in good order and how well Travis took care of us, but I hoped for a lot more excitement with the rapids. Sadly the transportation part was HORRIBLE. Our driver, Cheap (or Green) Charlie, was rude, condescending, obfuscatory and NEVER once answered our questions with a direct answer. He let one group walk past our tour bus three times because he refused to tell them exactly his location and what the bus looked like, instead just asking "where are YOU?". He gave us lots of history in the form of a quiz where he just had us endless guessing dates. When asked how long the bus ride was, his response was "depends on how hard I push the gas pedal." This was asked and repeated several times. Once we arrived, he told us if we want to save $10 for lockers, to leave our items on the bus, when a person tried to clarify how we get back to the bus, he just repeated louder "IF YOU WANT TO SAVE $10 LEAVE YOUR ITEMS ON THE BUS" instead of just telling us that he will meet us at the beach. And when asked how much time we had at the beach, his response was 'however long you want' even though we had no idea how long it would take back and several were worried about making their ship time. The ride to the raft company is considerably longer than expected, roughly 1 hr 30 mins. So people were getting worried and we all decided to leave after being at the beach only a short time. Charlie may have been upset at this since he was still eating. The drive back began with him driving like Mario Andretti on steroids. Several comments were made that he was going to kill us just to make a point of getting us back on time. However, he had other plans. He was driving fast so he could take us to the ABC souvenir store where he told us we would all get 50% off and gave us a sticker with a number on it. We were then told inside the store its only 25%. I'm guessing the sticker tracked our sales and he got a cut. Once we were all back in the van, he told us we all needed to long into VIATOR and give him a good review. He would not start the van until we did. All four groups in the van said we did not have wifi and would do it later. He then played a video of a little girl dancing on his ipad and said the good reviews will help him put a roof on his house and protect her. So one person 'pretended' to log in and put a review and Charlie started the van. We all assured him we'd be sending in our reviews later. He drove with a little more caution on the trip back, but pulled over4 times to 'talk on the phone to his boss' explaining the laws against talking on the phone and driving (which was odd because he accepted several calls on the way there without pulling over) and once to find music on his ipad to play for us which took a ridiculous amount of time with us just sitting on the side of the road. At this point, we all determined he was intentionally being a complete jerk. He inflicted his aggressive form of history quizzes on us until we finally arrived back at the port. While I wanted to support the locals for the devastation they endured, it killed me to give this guy even a $10. tip. He is detrimental to the reputation of Viator and Braco Tours and should seriously consider a new line of work.
