Join one of the most popular trips that takes you to the beautiful coastal town of Famagusta and its famous “Ghost Town of Varosha.” Visit the Monastery of Saint Barnabas and the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis (optional, extra fees of 6 euros apply). The next stop is the Famagusta Old Town Centre with its Venetian Walls, where you can optionally visit the Gothic Church of Saint Nicolas and Othello Castle (extra fees apply). The final stop will be the Ghost Town of Varosha, where you can walk around and enjoy free time on the Golden Beach.
- Bring sunscreen and hat, especially in the summer months
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. If your passport is set to expire less than six months after your trip, you could be denied boarding or entry. European Union Citizens are allowed to use Identity Cards - For other nationalities passports are required. Only original documents will be accepted at the checkpoint - no photocopies are allowed.
- Coach excursion with up to 50 passengers
- There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if the days of operation change. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- Please be advised that holders of Armenian, Syrian, Nigerian and Turkmenistan passports and cannot join the excursion, unless they have a special visa! Ukrainians that live in Cyprus with a refugee status cannot join the excursion.
- For the minors travelling with only one parent or in the care of friends or relatives a consent letter should be used for a cross-border travel.

Great excursion - we really enjoyed this excursion. Our guide was Olga, who was friendly and so knowledgeable. There was enough time at each location. I absolutely recommend this trip.

A wet but memorable cultural trip. - The day was made by our superb guide, Olga. She gave us loads of fascinating information about the history of Cyprus and the several archaeological sites that we visited. Despite getting soaked to the skin, we rated is as one of our best day tours. It was also very good value for money.

A mut visit to Famagusta, Salamis on Northern side. - Very interesting tour to see the Northern Side of Cyprus. The Ghost City, Famagusta and Salamis were all great experiences. The very friendy and knowledgable guide Fanos made the experience great.

Very good. It might take Framagusta a little longer for the visit and lunch. - Provide headphones translators in French because the visit was in English.... pity. Excellent guide.

Interresant, educational and tragic about Cyprus history. - It became a very interesting and educational experience thanks to a very clever and inspiring guide (Olga). She gave a thorough historical, political and cultural insight into the history of Cyprus. The trip can be recommended. She added literary references and inspired reading😊

Olga, the guide, accompanied us very well and informed us about every stop, as well as the island , comprehensively in English.

Really interesting and informative trip - Fascinating guided tour of occupied Famagusta and Salamis.
We had wanted to travel into the Northern occupied territory but concerns over car insurance etc put us off doing it ourselves, so we opted for a guided tour.
We were collected by the coach from near our hotel in Protaras. Fortunately we all got seated together as a family; later pick ups weren't so lucky as the trip was sold out and the last few people had to sit apart.
It was fascinating travelling through the border checks and into the occupied territory. The trip took in abandoned Varosha first. This was fascinating and sad to see, in equal measure. Our tour guide Renee was really friendly, informative and knowledgeable.
It was then on to ancient Salamis and St Barnabas Monastery which were again guided, before then onto Famagusta walled city where we had the best part of 2 hours to explore ourselves.
This was a fabulous, informative trip. I would have liked longer in Varosha and Salamis, particularly to explore by ourselves, however I understand that time wouldn't allow this.

Good tour with competent guide Olga - Olga was very good as a tour guide and told everything important about the individual stops in a compact brevity and was able to answer extra questions competently. We would have liked to have spent more time in Varosha than in Farmagusta as there would have been much more to see there than in Farmagusta. But that's a matter of taste. The bus driver drove very safely and was very friendly. Very good value for money!
