Join one of the most popular trips that takes you to the beautiful coastal town of Famagusta and its famous “Ghost Town of Varosha.” Visit the Monastery of Saint Barnabas and the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis (optional, extra fees of 6 euros apply). The next stop is the Famagusta Old Town Centre with its Venetian Walls, where you can optionally visit the Gothic Church of Saint Nicolas and Othello Castle (extra fees apply). The final stop will be the Ghost Town of Varosha, where you can walk around and enjoy free time on the Golden Beach.
- Bring sunscreen and hat, especially in the summer months
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. If your passport is set to expire less than six months after your trip, you could be denied boarding or entry. European Union Citizens are allowed to use Identity Cards - For other nationalities passports are required. Only original documents will be accepted at the checkpoint - no photocopies are allowed.
- Coach excursion with up to 50 passengers
- There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if the days of operation change. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- Please be advised that holders of Armenian, Syrian, Nigerian and Turkmenistan passports and cannot join the excursion, unless they have a special visa! Ukrainians that live in Cyprus with a refugee status cannot join the excursion.
- For the minors travelling with only one parent or in the care of friends or relatives a consent letter should be used for a cross-border travel.

Great day out - Fantastic and informative trip . Olga the tour guide was so lovely and welcoming. She noticed me and my husband were squashed up at the back of the coach and moved us right to the front . What a kind and thoughtful lady. Very well organised and good value for money compared with other trips offering trips to Famagusta. Would definitely recommend.

Great for people who like history and culture - Olga was very friendly and informative. Had great knowledge and share that with us. Explained what was happening and where to see when we had free time. The pick up was prompt and the driver made the journey smooth

Fascinating day trip to Varosha and Famagusta - If you are staying in Protaras, and interested in Cyprus sad recent history this trip is a must. A great cultural tour. Olga our guide was superb. Sadly we didn't get the opportunity to say a personal thank you, as she got off at the first drop off point.

Great for knowledge building on history of Cyprus plus sites - Picked up and dropped off on time directly outside hotel. Excellent tour guide ( Olga) expertly and professionally gave all information required at a pace for all. She made sure all comfort needs from toilet breaks to ensuring shaded areas for information stops. Itinerary covered as stated. Great value for money.

Good selection of areas - Olga was a great tour guide, it was a great trip to see the many sights past the buffer zone, a nice mix of areas to see, the ghost town was our favourite

Unmissable - The trip was excellent , very well organised and very informative, the guide olga was very knowledgeable and you could tell she was passionate about what she was talking about . A real eye opener about the history of Cyprus and if you visit the island dont miss the opportunity to take this trip.

School history trip “move along” - Very rushed too much packed in so missed so much tour guide rushed though everything 1000s of years history packed in to 20 mins very poor value for money go on your own if you can
