Every day, there are 7 bus trips from Hanoi to Cat Ba at the following times: 7:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 2:00 PM by tourist bus, and 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM by Limousine bus/van (D Car Luxury Van - Business Class).

Passengers are picked up from around Hanoi’s Old Quarter and dropped off at their hotel in Cat Ba town.

The journey takes 2 hours from Hanoi to Hai Phong harbor, followed by a 5-minute speedboat ride, and then another bus takes you to Cat Ba Island.

The total travel time is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours by Tourist Bus and only 2.5 hours by Limousine Van (the fastest option).

Every day, there are 7 bus trips from Cat Ba to Hanoi at the following times: 8:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 3:30 PM by tourist bus, and 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM by VIP Limousine Van, taking only 2.5 hours. Passengers are picked up from their hotel in Cat Ba town and dropped off at their hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Passengers can also book a round trip. If the return date and time are not yet decided, an open ticket can be booked, and the return time and date can be confirmed one day in advance.

For those who prefer the Limousine Van, there is an additional charge of $5 per person per way.
