Happiness is the Hagia Sophia - Había Sophia was more beautiful and magical in person. Went at night and saw it lit up. Went inside in the day time and blown away by the elegance and mystique!

Too expensive despite the beauty of the monument - The monument is beautiful from the outside but the price is exorbitant for 15 minutes and moreover it varies according to the moment because no price displayed for tourists! FYI, it’s almost free for Turkish people! It is a choice

If you are not close to 50€, go ahead - The basilica is beautiful, the museum is nice, but at 50€ (200 balls for 4) I advise against it is not justified, it is fdg.

What a disappointment - I came away feeling disappointed; the ticket price is extortionate for what you’re actually allowed to visit. I was under the impression that the whole area was open to visitors (outside of prayer time of course) but alas no. Just the upper balconies. And yes whilst impressive and a hugely important building it such a disappointment. Go really careful on selecting your ticket choice - you get rather bombarded with different options. The museum for me is absolutely not worth the money.

disappointment, discrimination and feeling unwelcome - First of all, Hagia Sophia is not a mosque but a museum representing our common history. Shame on Istanbul for destroying cultural heritage by systematically removing a part of history that does not suit them, as peoples did thousands of years ago. It was built during the Eastern Roman Empire, i.e. as a church. It represented something that does not correspond to current politics, so it must be destroyed. Hagia represents the history of Europe and Asia, but not the current Turkish government and Erdogan. HAGIA SOFIA is not a mosque, but a monument of historical importance. Security guards and ticket sellers are extremely unfriendly and arrogant. Entry is only allowed to the second floor for a fee. Below is reserved for Turks!!!!! Why already???? Never again.

A historical marvel being ruined by the policies of the government - It should have stayed as a museum and protected. If it is a mosque it should be free to enter for everyone. Now there is a discrimination, only Turkish are allowed to enter the lower floor. Non-turkish can't visit the lower floor and they have to pay a huge entrance fee. I am disgusted to see children and their brothers or fathers wrestling in this marvelous monument. I feel really sad watching us ruin another historical monument and betray Istanbul.
