- Kapali Carsi - Known as the Grand Bazaar or “Kapalıçarşı” in Turkish, this is one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets. Located in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey, it spans over 30,000 square meters. Initially built in the 15th century during Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror’s reign, it has grown over the years to encompass more than 60 streets and alleys, with over 4,000 shops. It is closed on Sundays.
