Cultural Tour of Istanbul - We have been on several TripAdvisor tours around the world and I can say this was so far our number 1 experience. The reason being our guide Omar. He has been doing tours in Istanbul for over 30 years. The man was a walking historian. We would have missed so much without him. He shared the details about all the monuments, architecture we were seeing. For example we were standing by a certain gazebo type structure and he starts telling us that it was a gift from Kaiser Whilhelm to the Sultan and pointed out Whilhems crest on it. We would have had no idea. He shared over a hundred such details at different times as we walked. Thanks Omar. You are the best ever

Magnificent! - The best decision is a private tour. It fast tracks you ahead of queues and it can be modified to accommodate for mobility concerns. I had a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable guide, Zel! She had my best interest at heart by being understanding and supportive with my knees were still getting used to walking more than I normally do. It was fine. These are things to consider and is the reason I chose a private tour. Moreover, it was an enriching educational tour. I learned so much more about Türkiye. My beautiful and brilliant guide started with the beginning of Türkiye to modern times. It was fascinating ancient history and I am even more happy that I chose to visit this magnificent country! I thoroughly enjoyed a private tour nearly tailored for what my interest were and the outstanding and quality customer service I received from my phenomenal guide, Zel. It was worth every kilometer traveled. ☺️🇹🇷🌍🙏🏽

An Enriching Private Tour with Deep Local Insight and Warm Guidance - Our private day tour with Istanbul’s Tours and guide Omar was outstanding. From hotel pickup to rich insights into history, culture, and modern life, the day was seamless and engaging. Visiting Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome of Constantinople, Basilica Cistern, and Blue Mosque, plus artisan rug and ceramic workshops, made it both efficient and memorable.

Great private tour and an exceptional guide - I had a long layover in Istanbul and decided to make the most of it by booking this private tour, and I am so glad I did. My guide, Hamit, was truly excellent. It was cold and rainy, and I also experienced unexpected delays at the airport related to my luggage and medication. Despite this, he waited patiently for me and was nothing but kind, calm, and understanding throughout the day.
Hamit is extremely knowledgeable and shared thoughtful historical context at each stop. Even with the challenging weather, the tour was engaging and informative, and I appreciated having his full, undivided attention for several hours.
The experience would have been even better with nicer weather, and I do wish the cost of admissions had been included upfront. That said, for a private tour with such a professional and gracious guide, it was still a good value overall. I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially if you have limited time in Istanbul and want a personalized experience.

Interesting explanation of our tour sites. - Omar timed our tour to our preference and skillfully explained the sites and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend him as a tour guide. We then joined him for lunch at a restaurant he recommended and were able to sample traditional Turkish food.
