Day 2: Merzouga – Tinghir, Dades
Tinerhir - Rise early to watch the sunrise over the desert before enjoying breakfast. Begin your day with a visit to Rissani, home to the mausoleum of the founder of Morocco’s Alaouite Dynasty.
Proceed to Tinghir along the route of the 1000 kasbahs, where you can explore the kasours and oases of the High Atlas mountains. Spend an hour discovering the Todgha River and its stunning canyons.
Before lunch, visit the Berber village of Azrou with your guide to learn about their traditional way of life. In the afternoon, travel to the Dades Valley to see one of the region’s oldest kasbahs. You will then be taken to your accommodation in Dades.
Day 3: Dades – Kelaa Mgouna – Ouarzazate – Ait ben Haddou – Marrakech
Marrakech - After breakfast at your hotel, journey to Kelaa Mgouna in the Rose Valley, renowned for its rose plantations. Visit a rose growers’ cooperative to see how distilled rose water is blended to create fragrances.
Continue through the kasbahs to Ouarzazate, known as the “door of the Sahara” and a popular filming location. Next, visit Kasbah Ait ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore this remarkable location with your guide and learn about its traditional Moroccan earthen clay architecture.
In the afternoon, cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass through the Atlas Mountains, where Berbers have resided for centuries. Arrive back in Marrakech by late afternoon.
