Continue through the expansive cedar forests near the Berber village of Azrou, known as The Rock in the local Berber dialect, where the famous Barbary apes, actually macaque monkeys, may try to share your lunch in their natural environment. As you pass through the Atlas Mountains, which are said to support the sky, you’ll navigate through forested peaks, winding mountain streams and springs, and stunning, rugged rock walls. At dusk, your camel will be ready to take you on an unforgettable ninety-minute trek through the shifting desert sands, leading you to a traditional Berber desert camp where you’ll spend the night in a tent, surrounded by towering dunes. Marrakech - Begin the day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes. Then, enjoy a gentle camel ride back to a hotel for breakfast, during which you’ll observe the shifting and changing shadows cast by the dunes, lengthening and shrinking as the day progresses. After breakfast, continue your journey to Marrakech or return directly to Fes through the Mighty Middle Atlas Mountains.
