Great cooking course - Recommend - Great cooking class with Nassim our cook. Have prepared several tajines and salads that we could choose in advance. Also original Moroccan coffee. Good insight into spices and the correct use. Definitely recommend. Nice little kitchen in a Beautiful Riad. We were accompanied by a guide at the blue gate on the edge of the medina picked up on foot to the cooking class.

Highly recommended - Our family of four—including a teenager and a nine-year-old—had a truly memorable experience with Meryem, Chef Magda, and Wiame. The class is hosted in a stunning, serene Riad, and the hospitality extended by the entire hotel staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We prepared several traditional Moroccan dishes entirely from scratch. What impressed me most was how seamlessly the team kept both a teenager and a younger child actively engaged and excited throughout the entire process. It’s rare to find an activity that captures everyone’s attention so well! We capped off the afternoon with a delicious, satisfying lunch that tasted even better knowing we had made it ourselves. Highly recommended for families!

Fabulous family experience - We were two adults, two teens, and a 9 year old kid from the US, and Meryam and Chef Fatima gave us a fabulous evening. There wasn’t a market visit included but it was all perfect—working in the kitchen of a riad, chatting with Meryam while food simmered. Delicious food, warm and friendly hosts, and very welcoming of our kids.

Well worth it!! - The cooking class was quite good. Nassim was a talented chef with a wonderfully warm personality. He very little English, but was accompanied by Rania, who was lovely and acted as a translator. She is also a henna artist. It wasn’t quite what we expected, but it worked out better for us. We thought that they would pick us up at our riad and that we would go shopping for dinner ingredients. Instead they came with the supplies and the cooking class was conducted right in the kitchen at our riad. I believe that it was being done at that location was just coincidence, but lucky for us! You should expect that to happen. We made three traditional Morrocan salads, two types of tagine and a dessert. Learning about the spice combinations were the best part. While the food was simmering and being plated, Rania did an amazing henna tattoo of tradition Berber design on my hand. When she was finished, our delicious meal was served. I recommend the experience!!

A day inside the old town - It was a great activity to experience life in Fez and Moroccan culture. Cooking classes picked us up at our accommodations, and we started by traveling to the souks and shopping at greengrocers and butchers where the locals shopped. A short distance into the old town is the owner's family house. The instructor explained to us in English, and the pair from Spain who came together also spoke Spanish. I learned the unique cooking methods of couscous and vegetables, and the secrets of Moroccan cuisine such as spices and salted lemons, so that I could enjoy eating the same food at a restaurant later. It's easier to get in touch via WhatsApp once you've made an appointment, so it's a good idea to include it.

Best Chicken Tangine we've had! - We had a very nice cooking class experience. Abdul, our host, was very nice. He came to pick us up at the Riad where we were staying and from there we went for a short walk, bought the ingredients at the market and then went to a very nice Riad where the cook (a kind Moroccan lady) was already waiting for us. We made 2 very nice salads and as main course a chicken Tangine. It was the best chicken Tangine we have had in Morocco! Very nice and recommendable experience!

Best Tajine of this holiday - The best Tajine so far. Great experience with Abdul, with nice conversations. We are definitely going to (try) to make this at home in the Netherlands! Thanks to Abdul and the cook.

A very authentic experience! - We had a wonderful time exploring the markets and picking up the items for our meal before heading back to the Riad where we got to watch the meal being prepared whilst we had our questions answered and useful information provided. The final meal was very tasty and rewarding. Highly recommend!

Cooking demonstration not class - Overall it was a good experience but we were surprised by a few things. It was more of a cooking demonstration and not a cooking class. Our guide Abdul spoke English but struggled to understand some of our questions and didn’t really explain anything in the market. We just quickly walked through and he bought our ingredients but he didn’t talk about any history, facts, or explain any culture. The woman who cooked our food was great and let us help when we asked.
