Fes el-Bali - Day 1: The journey begins at 7am, heading southeast towards Merzouga, traversing several cities in the Middle Atlas mountain range. The first stop is Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” followed by Azrou and the renowned cedar forest, where you might encounter some Barbary apes. The journey continues through Errashidia, reaching Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley. This trip offers stunning views of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas Mountains. As you near Errashidia, the landscape gradually transforms, hinting at the desert ahead. There will be stops for lunch and to capture panoramic views along the way. The route also passes through welcoming Berber villages like Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current ruling royal family. Upon arrival in Merzouga at day’s end, a refreshing glass of mint tea awaits before checking into your riad. After a brief rest, you’ll meet the camels for an exciting adventure in the sand dunes. The night will be spent in a well-equipped camp or nomad tent, enjoying an evening of drumming and music in the Sahara at sunset.

Day 2: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fès

On the second day of the Fes 2-day desert tour, your camel guide will wake you early to witness what could be the most breathtaking sunrise of your life. Following this, you’ll trek back from the camp to the Riad, where breakfast will be ready for you. After enjoying breakfast at your riad, you’ll set off for Fes via Errashidia and the Ziz Valley, concluding your journey in the evening in Fes.
