The journey begins at 8:00 a.m. with a 4-day tour from Fez to Marrakech via the Sahara desert. The route takes us through the Middle Atlas Mountains and cedar forests, passing by Ifrane, a delightful ski resort, and Azrou, known for its cedar wood handicrafts. Lunch is in Midelt, followed by a drive to Erfoud and into the desert. Dinner and overnight stay are at a hotel at the base of the Erg Chebbi Sahara dunes.

After breakfast, the tour heads to Khamlia village for live Gnawa music, then continues on an off-road track to explore the sand dunes. Tea with nomads in Berber tents offers a glimpse into a different way of life, and a Berber pizza lunch is served. After relaxing at the hotel, a camel trip into the dunes is planned to witness the sunset, followed by an overnight stay in a nomadic tent.

An early rise to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes is followed by breakfast and a shower at the hotel/riad. The journey continues to Ouarzazate via Rissani, with a stop in Erfoud, known for its fossilized marbles, to visit a marble fossil workshop. The Todra Gorges offer a perfect spot for a walk and exploration. After lunch, the drive proceeds through the town of Roses, Kelaa Mgouna, along the Road of a Thousand-Kasbahs, passing the Skoura palm grove, and arriving in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” for a hotel/riad check-in.

The tour heads to Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city’ along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Located on a hill by the Ouarzazate River, it features stunning kasbahs, some still inhabited. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it has been a backdrop for films like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. After lunch, the journey continues over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.

At 8:00 a.m we start our 4 days Fez to Marrakech via Sahara desert tour. We leave for Midelt through the Mountains and the cedar forests of the middle Atlas. We pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft centre specialised in the work of cedar wood. We arrive in Midelt for lunch. At the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud and into the desert. Dinner and overnight in a hotel at the foothills of Erg chebbi sahara dunes.
