Fez Middle Atlas Mountain Merzouga

Fes - The journey begins with a pickup from the accommodation in Fez. The route leads to Ifrane, often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco.

Ifrane - Nestled in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, Ifrane is renowned for its alpine-style architecture, ski slopes, and forests. A notable landmark is the stone lion statue near Parc la Prairie. Just outside the town, Ain Vittel offers a spring with several waterfalls. To the west, Ifrane National Park, with its Atlas cedar forests, is home to the rare Barbary macaques.

Azrou - Azrou is a charming village located about 90 km from Fez in the Moroccan Middle Atlas. It is a tranquil, mid-sized town ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside, including the forest inhabited by monkeys.

Midelt - Midelt is a Moroccan city celebrated for its natural beauty, lush landscapes, and captivating scenery. It is also known for its apple production, as well as fossils and rocks.

Errachidia - With a population of 45,000, Errachidia is one of Morocco’s oldest and most renowned cities. Situated in the Southeast of Morocco in the Ziz valley of the pre-Saharan Tafilalet region, it lies between the High Atlas Mountains and the desert’s sand hills, in a rocky and stony landscape.

Rissani - Rissani, a sacred city and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, invites visitors to explore its rich souk filled with craftsmanship and its stunning ksour in and around the city, offering a glimpse into its Saharan charm.

Merzouga - Merzouga is a village in the Sahara Desert of Morocco, located on the edge of Erg Chebbi, a 50km long and 5km wide expanse of sand dunes reaching up to 350m. Many visitors come here to embark on a camel safari into the dunes and experience the remote desert environment.

Merzouga Tinghir Toudra Gorge

Tinerhir - Tinghir, situated in the heart of the Todra Valley between the High Atlas and Jebel Sahro, boasts the magnificent Tinghir palm grove. The city, once a French garrison, is built around a rock outcrop and is dominated by the ruins of the ancient Glaoui palace. A visit to the Todra region is incomplete without a stop in Tinghir to stroll through its flowered gardens, ksours, and Kasbahs.

Tinghir Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou

Ouarzazate - Ouarzazate, located south of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, serves as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its vast Taourirt Kasbah, which houses a 19th-century palace, offers views over the rugged local landscape, featured in numerous films. To the northwest lies the fortified red-earth city of Aït Ben Haddou, while to the northeast is the rocky Todra Gorge. A road winds southeast through the Draa Valley’s lush palm groves to the desert.

Ait Ben Haddou - Ait Benhaddou, a collection of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, represents a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses are clustered within the defensive walls, reinforced by corner towers. Located in Ouarzazate province, Ait-Ben-Haddou is a remarkable example of southern Moroccan architecture.
