Fes - Guests will be picked up from their hotel and embark on a journey to Merzouga, traversing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. This mountain range extends 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northeast of Morocco.

Ifrane - Ifrane is a city and urban commune in Morocco, situated in the Middle Atlas at an elevation of 1,650 meters. Known as Little Switzerland, Ifrane is renowned for its architecture, climate, landscapes, and is the country’s premier ski destination.

Cedre Gouraud Forest - This famous cedar forest is home to Barbary macaques and beautiful butterflies. The area is a popular summer spot for city dwellers, hikers, and picnickers from nearby larger cities.

Midelt - Enjoy a lunch break at a Berber restaurant and capture stunning photos of the Berber village.

Ziz Valley - The Ziz Valley boasts hundreds of kasbahs and ksars that are fascinating to explore. Visitors can also enjoy a panoramic view of the Ziz River.

Erfoud - Erfoud is an oasis town in the Sahara Desert, located in the Drâa-Tafilalet region of eastern Morocco. It is part of the Aït Atta tribe.

Merzouga - Experience a thrilling 4x4 ride to the desert camp. Leave your luggage and embark on a camel ride through the desert dunes, taking in the breathtaking sunset.

Merzouga Sahara Desert

Merzouga - After breakfast, enjoy more time in the desert dunes before heading to a luxury hotel in Merzouga. In the early afternoon, visit the black volcanic rocks of marble fossils. Meet a nomadic family and explore the village of Khamlia, known for its sub-Saharan African tribe and spiritual Gnawa music. Stop at Dayte Sarji Lake, which forms in spring and attracts flamingos and wildlife. Lunch will be with a local nomadic family. Afterward, visit the canal irrigation system and stroll through the oasis at the foot of the dunes. Return to the hotel to relax by the pool, and in the evening, savor a delicious dinner and entertainment.

Merzouga – Rissani – Midelt – Fes

Fes - Rise early to witness the sunrise. After a hearty breakfast, begin the return journey to Fes with several stops along the way.

Rissani - Explore the Berber market. Rissani is a town in the Errachidia province of eastern Morocco, near Erfoud. It is the nearest significant town to Erg Chebbi, the largest sand desert in Morocco.

Midelt - Pause for lunch at a Berber restaurant. The journey continues towards Fes, marking the conclusion of this private overnight tour. Wishing everyone a safe return to Fes.

We are delighted to present this splendid 3-day/2-night journey to the Merzouga desert. The adventure begins with a departure from your hotel in Fez at approximately 7:30 a.m. in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus or car. The first destination is Ifrane, often referred to as Little Switzerland. The next stop is Azrou, a Berber village nestled in the cedar forest, where you can observe wild monkeys. The journey continues across the Tizi N’Talghaumt pass, offering stunning panoramic views of the gorges and the Ziz Valley.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a traditional restaurant in the Ziz Valley, after which the journey proceeds to Erfoud to explore an oasis of palm trees and fossils, perfect for capturing beautiful photographs. Upon arrival in Merzouga, a 4x4 jeep will transport you to the luxury camp. Meet the camels and embark on a camel ride to witness the sunset. In the evening, join the group for a delightful dinner, accompanied by Berber music and a wood fire, while marveling at the breathtaking views of the stars.
