FES – IFRAN – AZROU – MIDELT -ERRACHIDIA ERFOUD - MERZOUGA

Fes - Begin your journey with Bekben Travel early in the morning. After being picked up from your hotel or riad, enjoy a smooth drive in a comfortable vehicle to the next destination.

Ifrane - Pass through the village of Ifrane, often referred to as “Moroccan Switzerland” due to its unique house architecture and status as the country’s premier ski destination.

Azrou - Stop at Azrou, a renowned Berber town in Morocco. If time permits, capture photos of the Berber Monkeys in the Cedar Forest of Azrou.

Midelt - Pause for lunch in Midelt, a town known for its fossils and rocks, before continuing the journey towards Merzouga.

Merzouga Desert - Enjoy a panoramic view of a vast palm oasis and arrive in Merzouga by afternoon. After sipping mint tea, meet the guide and camels ready to take you across the sandy dunes of Erg-Chebbi. Relish the sunset on camelback and, after an hour, reach the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent. At the camp, camels are tethered, and mint tea is served. After a delightful dinner, gaze at the stars until you drift to sleep.

MERZOUGA – TODRA VALLEY - DADES GEORGE

Merzouga Desert - Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, possibly the most stunning sunrise of your life. Enjoy breakfast at the camp before returning to your driver with the camels.

Todra River - Travel through the Anti-Atlas, also known as the Lesser Atlas, towards Ouarzazate. Pass by Nkob village, famous for its 45 kasbahs. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in one of the kasbahs before continuing through the Draa Valley, with its date palms and abandoned ksour and kasbahs.

Dades Gorges - Witness a beautiful sunset from the Atlas Mountains before arriving in Ouarzazate. Check into the hotel upon reaching Dades Gorge and savor your dinner.

DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZAT - AIT BEN HADOU – MARRAKECH

Ouarzazate - After a hearty breakfast, set off for Ouarzazate, traveling the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, which rise like turreted sand castles along this historic caravan trading route. This region has been a favored location for Hollywood films such as The Last Temptation of Christ, Jewel of the Nile, and Hideous Kinky. The central area is one of Morocco’s most thrilling and romantic destinations, nestled among lush river valleys, palm groves, and vibrant mud-brick homes under the blue desert sky.

Ait Ben Haddou - Explore the nearby Ait Benhaddou. This ancient ksar, a UNESCO World Heritage site, dates back to the 11th century and was crucial along the trans-Saharan trade route. Climb to the ancient Granary for a stunning view of the kasbah and surrounding area. Fans of Game of Thrones may wish to visit the river gates featured in the series.

Tizi n Tichka - Traverse the High Atlas and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, along a road that ascends from the plains to 2260m above sea level, passing through small villages, waterfalls, and the ever-changing landscape and colors of the magnificent mountains. Conclude the day by returning to your hotel or riad in Marrakech.

This three-day, guided tour brings you face to face with the stunning desert landscape of Morocco and gives you the chance to learn more about this country’s history and culture. Having driven out of Marrakech on the first day of this trip, you will then head for the High Atlas Mountains en route to Boumalne Dades. Visit the famous kasbah (fortress) of Ait Benhaddou along the way. Up next on the itinerary are the dunes of Merzouga. Take a camel for a ride through the desert before heading for your camp. See sunrise over the desert before heading back to the final destination. We will drive you back to Marrakech via Tazarin and Draa Valley at the end of this trip.
