- Volubilis - The next stop is the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where visitors can immerse themselves in the exploration of these 2000-year-old remnants and gain insight into life during the Roman Empire. The journey then continues to Moulay Idriss Zerhoun.
- Moulay Idriss - The tour proceeds to the sacred city of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, dramatically situated against Mount Zerhoun’s slope. This whitewashed town, nestled between two verdant hills, is a spiritual site housing the tomb of Moulay Idriss, a notable Moroccan saint from the late 8th century and a descendant of the Prophet Mohammed. For centuries, it has been a pilgrimage destination, thanks to its founder, Moulay Idriss el Akhbar. The journey then continues to Meknes.
- Meknes - The next destination is Meknes, an early medieval city in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The medina of Meknes is home to historic landmarks such as Bab Elmansour, a grand decorated gate, Qara Prison, the renowned underground old prison, The Sahrij Swani, and el Hadim square, a smaller version of Marrakech’s famous Jama El Fna square. Founded in the 11th century by the Almoravids, Meknes is a stunning city in Spanish-Moorish style, encircled by high walls with impressive gates. The city showcases a harmonious blend of Islamic and European styles from the 17th century Maghreb. Behind the towering defensive walls, punctuated by nine monumental gates, lie key monuments including twenty-five mosques, ten hammams, palaces, vast granaries, remnants of fondouks (inns for merchants), and private residences. Meknes offers a remarkable example of urban design, integrating elements of both Islamic and European architecture and town planning. After exploring the winding narrow medina streets and grand buildings, visitors can enjoy a locally made lunch in one of the medina’s charming local restaurants. The view of the square can be savored from a local café while sipping traditional Berber tea. The driver will meet the group in the early evening to return them to their accommodation.
