- Rinki-ekopiste - Upon arrival, guests are warmly greeted and introduced to our Alaskan Huskies, who are in training to become future sport and running dogs.
Guests will be paired with a young husky and taught the fundamentals of our training methods — fostering trust, walking calmly with a lead attached to a waist harness, and developing teamwork. Following this, participants embark on a 2–5 km guided walk or snowshoe adventure, depending on the season.
In autumn, the journey takes guests through tranquil forests adorned with golden foliage and expansive fell views. In winter, the experience transforms into a snowshoe trek along soft, snowy paths, enveloped in silence and frozen beauty.
Throughout the excursion, there are frequent stops for breaks, photos, and moments to bond with the husky. Insights into sled dog life, including feeding, care, and the experience of raising a team in Arctic Lapland, are shared along the way.

Nestled within the Pallas–Ylläs National Park, visitors can immerse themselves in the authentic Arctic Lapland experience, far from bustling crowds, guided by those who nurture, train, and live with the dogs throughout the year.
This is not a large kennel or commercial operation. It is a dedicated team residing in the heart of the national park, with a personal collection of dogs that are both future sled dogs and family members. Tours are kept intentionally small, with a maximum of four guests, allowing ample opportunity to bond with the dogs and for the dogs to become familiar with the guests.
The team will share insights into how they raise, train, and coexist with these animals in Arctic Lapland. Guests will engage in hands-on training, enjoy a hike or snowshoe trek through serene wilderness with the dogs attached to a waist harness, and have time for interaction, inquiries, and photography along the journey.
There are two lakeside cabins available for overnight stays for those who wish to extend their visit.
