Upon arrival in Äkäslompolo, guests are warmly welcomed and introduced to our small family of Alaskan huskies, who are in training to become future sport and running dogs. Each participant is paired 1:1 with a husky. Before embarking on the journey, guests receive instruction on handling, walking, and teamwork using a waist harness, with the husky leading and pulling.
Participants then embark on a 2–5 km guided walk or snowshoe, traversing forest trails around Äkäslompolo & Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park.
Autumn: forest paths, golden hues, expansive fell views

The pace is leisurely, with frequent stops for photos and rest. Throughout the journey, insights are shared about daily life with sport dogs, including training, care, and the experience of raising a team in Arctic Lapland. The adventure is active yet accessible, emphasizing connection over speed.
