• Firostefani - Located to the north of Fira, Firostefani offers a spectacular view of Santorini, providing a unique perspective of the volcano. The Church of the Three Bells in Fira is one of the most famous, photogenic, and frequently photographed Greek Catholic churches on the island. Also known as the Church of the Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary, it was originally the site of two cave churches in the mid-17th century, which were destroyed due to the cliff’s gradual erosion. The current church was built in 1757 and has been reconstructed several times, notably after the 1956 earthquake. Its picturesque location, with the dome and bell tower overlooking the caldera, makes it one of the most photographed sites not only in Santorini but throughout Greece.
