- Hiking Trail Fira - Oia - This walk is one of Santorini’s top experiences. In this tour you are given the chance to see from up close exactly what the cliffsides of Santorini look like! Connecting Fira which is the capital of Santorini with the northest part of the island, which is Oia, the Caldera rim trail will give you much more than a simple walk in nature. After being picked up from your accommodation point, you will be transferred to Fira Town from where we will start our walk. The walking path is a mix of paved, pedestrian streets and dirt hiking trails. On our way from Fira to Oia you will pass through the towns of Firostefani and Imerovigli and enjoy some of the most beautiful views of the islands. The entire distance we will cover is just over 10 km (about 6 miles).When we reach Oia, you will get some free time to relax and at the end of our tour you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

As you travel from Fira to Oia, you will move through the towns of Firostefani and Imerovigli and feast your eyes on some of the most breathtaking island views.

Amazing, beautiful, hilly hike. I'd do it again in an instant! - If you have even an ounce of fitness do this hike. It was so beautiful and memorable. Was a highlight of our trip to Santorini for sure. It isn't horribly strenuous but it is 10k up and down the edge of the cauldron. We're fairly fit and didn't have to stop to rest but we did for the endless photo ops. I recommend starting early. We were on the trail by 7:30. Bring water and cash for the fruit stand about half way. Watermelon hit the spot at that moment of the hike! There are no bathrooms anywhere on the trail I'd recommend taking care of that in town before hitting the trail. Bring water!!! If you are debating doing this stop and just get out there!

Unforgettable Santorini Hike with Panos — A Must for Any Greece Traveler - Hiking Santorini with Panos is an experience I will wholeheartedly recommend to anyone traveling to Greece. As a true local, Panos brings a depth of knowledge and connection to the island that elevates the entire journey. He knows every turn of the trail, every hidden viewpoint, and shares fascinating insights about Santorini’s history, geology, and culture along the way.
The hike itself was not just scenic—it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Walking along the caldera with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, passing through traditional villages, and watching the shifting light over the whitewashed cliffs was genuinely awe-inspiring. It felt less like a tourist activity and more like being welcomed into the heart of the island.
Panos is also an outstanding guide in every practical sense. He’s in great shape, kept a pace that was comfortable yet energizing, and came prepared with extra water and supplies for the group. More than that, he was a joy to talk to—friendly, funny, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had an incredible experience.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking for a deeper, more meaningful way to connect with Santorini beyond the typical postcard views, I can’t recommend this hike enough. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after your trip ends.

Fira to Oia hike with Arsenios - My cousin and I were amazed at the kindness that our guide Arsenios showed us. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the region. He took extra care of us because of our needs and was just a delight to walk the beautiful caldera with. I cannot recommend this walk/hike enough. The scenery is beautiful. The churches are amazing and both Firs and Oia cannot be missed. Thank you again Arsenios and I hope we meet again.

Nice tour! - Panos was the perfect guide. He was patient, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
The walk was very enjoyable. At first, it seemed daunting to walk so far, but the time went quickly. There was a lot to see on the way, and Panos was excellent in pointing out the interesting things . The trail was a bit steep and slippery in places, so care was needed. I would highly recommend this tour.

BREATHTAKING VIEWS! - It is a breathtaking walk! The views are incredible.
There are areas that are a bit challenging. Some steep inclines and soft gravel. Def not for someone who is not cardiovascularly fit.
You get to see an area of Santorini that is not tarnished by the cruiseship masses.
Totally recommend!

Memorable Hike with amazing views - My wife and I did the Fira to Oia hike across the Caldera walking trail in Santorini. This was probably the best hike of my life. The vistas and the views were incredible. And the hike along the rim of the caldera / island hills gave is views that we could never have got otherwise. Our tour guide - Arsenios - was very knowledgeable, cheerful and adjusted his pace to our needs. We are a couple in our 50s but reasonably fit, so the hike was challenging but not too difficult.
