This excursion ensures every participant has a fishing rod in hand, offering a chance to catch any species attracted by the scent trail set by the guide on the seabed. It provides a personal fishing experience with 5 or 6 guests and a guide aboard a hardtop aluminum cabin cruiser on the halibut flats. While the weather can be unpredictable, a significant benefit of fishing the Inside Passage is the ability to find shelter behind an island, protecting from the open sea’s weather.
Our company prioritizes guest experience over fuel consumption. Guides are encouraged to venture where guests have the highest likelihood of experiencing active fishing. Unlike most half-day charters in Alaska, these trips take guests further into more remote and fruitful waters. This results in a greater chance of catching fish, enjoying coastal scenery, and spotting wildlife such as whales, sea lions, and porpoises!
