Boat tour - Wonderful split trip, fishing and snorkeling. Food was great, crew was super fun to hang out with. Incredibly relaxing day, can't wait to do it again!

Fantastic fishing trip! - This was a first class offshore fishing trip. Captain Byron and first mate Joshua are real pros. They got us on the fish early, we landed five sailfish including two doubles! Went for food later and got a 30+ pound goliath grouper to bring home. Lunch was awesome, so was the ceviche they made out of some of our smaller fish. Second and third mates David and Austin were super helpful and courteous. The boat is awesome and the crew really made it a special day for us. We had four adults, five teenagers. I highly recommend Lupo II for a great full day trip out of flamingo Beach! Easy morning drive from Tamarindo.

Excellent experience! - We had an awesome time! The crew was amazing, from the time we booked until the time we departed. The food was delicious and we even ate the tuna our grandson caught, by the way was his 13th. Birthday. They even surprised us with a birthday cake! I definitely recommend Ocean Life!

Awesome trip - This trip was fabulous. Our crew were amazing and so attentive and fun. We caught tuna right away and they made up a snack with it which was so delicious. The rest of the lunch was also very good. We had a wonderful time and would definitely do it again. Thanks to the captain, David and Chris for a great time! Pura Vida

Amazing!! - I started to email with Valentina a few weeks before our trip inquiring about the boat charter and what it entailed. She was very responsive and so pleasant to interact with. We booked the morning tour that lasted about 4hrs. I was with my husband, and two teens. (14 & 16)
The marina was really easy to find. (Right before playa flamingo). The crew and the captain were at the boat and ready to greet us.
They gave us a bit of an orientation of the boat, and what the plan was for the morning. The plan was to get out on the water, snorkel and hopefully see some whales, dolphins, sea turtles and any other marine life.
The crew was so attentive right away, offering us a plethora of beverages, both alcohol and non. The boat had a big front deck with chairs and a bench to sit on. The inside had an air conditioned living room with a kitchen and bathroom. It was all very comfortable!
As soon as we got out on the water, the crew put some lines out and very shortly after they caught some black fin tuna and they asked our son if he wanted to reel it in, which he very happily did.
They caught a couple more fish and cooked them up for our lunch. It was so cool to catch our meal and eat it within a couple of hours. They had a great spread for lunch & snacks. There were wraps, chicken, beef, fresh fruit, chips & dip, and more! They did ask if we had any food sensitivities, which I thought was great.
It was quite windy the day we went out, so unfortunately the snorkelling conditions weren’t ideal and marine life didn’t make an appearance, but that’s just the risk you take when booking tours that rely on Mother Nature.
If you’re thinking of booking a private boat tour, I would highly recommend Ocean Life, they were absolutely amazing from start to finish.

Best Day on the water! - We had an unforgettable experience with the Luca Blu Crew! Our group consisted of two families — four adults, a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old, a 14-year-old, and a nine-year-old — and it was the perfect outing for all ages. The food was absolutely amazing, with fresh, delicious dishes that left everyone in awe. The cocktails and drinks were perfectly crafted, adding to the overall experience.
The service was top-notch, with the team going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the day. We spent time floating on the lily pad, fishing, and even enjoyed some freshly caught sashimi — all of it was incredible. To top it off, the sunset was breathtaking.
This was easily one of our favorite days in Costa Rica, and the hospitality we received was exceptional. We highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting the area!

Amazing morning cruise - My husband and I, along with my brother and his fiance, booked the 4 hour snorkeling tour at the last minute after considering a much larger/crowded catamaran tour. We were looking for a more quiet and private experience. Ocean Life did not disappoint. Captain Byron, Josh and David did an amazing job. We were well hydrated and fed. The snorkeling was a bit of a workout and the waters a little hazy, but still saw some fish and coral. A highlight on the way back was seeing a HUGE devil ray! After being on larger more crowded boats this experience was so relaxing. Highly recommend!

A day of adventure! - This was the highlight of our trip to Playa Flamingo. The crew were super cool, friendly and full of PURA VIDA. The never let us have an empty glass, the food was fresh and flavorful and the snorkeling location was awesome. Saw a turtle and tons of fish, AND I unfortunately got stuck by a sea urchin (totally my fault)… but the guys got me taken care of and the amazing day continued. Got some great sunset pics as well and tons of memories made! Highly recommend this crew and would gladly book again.
