Deeply interesting tour! - So pleased we did this tour, so informative and our tour guide Vanessa was brilliant! Actually seeing the statue of David close up and hearing an explanation all about it was so interesting. The museum is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for it to be busy.

Florence One-Day Highlights! - The tour guides were well informed and enthusiastic to share their knowledge and passion, and our accompaniment to and on the train - Mateo F. - was very comforting. He made sure we were organized and safely escorted as needed. That sense of comfort and safety throughout such a long day trip to a new environment was especially appreciated.

A must see while in Florence - Of course the main purpose of our visit was to see Michelangelo's famous David statue. And it did not disappoint! But there is so much more to see inside this fabulous gallery. Works by Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Stradivari, and many more. Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Without a guide the tour would be seriously lacking.

A Wonderful Not-to-miss Tour! - A wonderful, expansive tour! My husband and I were treated to a wealth of insight around a bevy of groundbreaking artists, the art they created, and the cultural context surrounding that art. A wonderful way to experience and enjoy the extraordinary breadth of the Academy without being overwhelmed. Giacinta ( sp? Apologies) was a warm and delightful guide, curating the tour with intuition, expertise and passion. Highly recommend!

This skip the line tour... - This skip the line tour of the Academia Gallery was very interesting and informative. It mainly concentrates on Michelangelo's David, and a selection of paintings.

Fantastic! Highly recommend him!! - Our guide was very personable and gave us great insight to The exhibits. He gave the history and stories behind quite a few of the paintings but certainly not all of them, which was good. He also gave us fascinating facts about Michelangelo himself, his unfinished pieces, and things we never would have known about “David”. Once our tour was over we had free time to go back and look at anything that wasn’t covered. Had we not had this tour guide, we would have missed so much! We highly recommend him!!

Disorganized - The tour was disorganized - we arrived 5 minutes early at the meeting point, found the representative and checked in, and then waited about 45 minutes for the guide and other tour participants. The representative tried calling the guide several times to no avail. Finally it was discovered that the guide had somehow found the other participants and had gone into the museum already, and said she did not have our names on her list. (We booked the tour 3 months in advance). After having to wait in line again for 15 minutes, we finally entered the museum. The guide was difficult to understand and did not seem to have a plan on what to show us or any coherent plan for the visit. Our goal was to see the statue of David, which we did, but the rest of the visit seemed like a waste.
