- Gallerie Degli Uffizi - Embark on an artistic journey at the Uffizi Gallery! Once the offices of the influential Medici family, it now displays their remarkable art collection.
Begin with Anna Maria Luisa de Medici, the last Medici heir, who generously gifted the family’s treasures. As you ascend the grand staircase, discover the building’s architecture and the hidden stories behind the masterpieces.
The first hall showcases early Renaissance works by Giotto, Cimabue, and Duccio. Be captivated by Botticelli’s iconic Venus, da Vinci’s stunning Annunciation, and Michelangelo’s only panel painting!
Our expert guide will bring these artists and their works to life, sharing fascinating details and anecdotes. In just one and a half hours, you’ll gain a deep appreciation for the Uffizi’s highlights, allowing you to revisit any favorites later.
- Piazza del Duomo - Located in the heart of Florence’s historic center, Piazza del Duomo is one of the most visited places globally and the most frequented area in Florence. From the meeting point, the guide will provide insights into the history of this magnificent piece of art standing before you.
- Museo dell’Opera del Duomo - Initially, the guide will lead you to the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, dedicated to preserving the dome and other masterpieces by Michelangelo, Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Luca Della Robbia, Arnolfo di Cambio, and many others.
-
Campanile di Giotto - As you stroll through the Piazza, you’ll catch glimpses of the red dome completed in 1436 by Filippo Brunelleschi, once the largest building in Medieval Europe.
After an engaging explanation of this marvel, your next stop will be the Florentine Gothic architecture showpieces, Giotto’s Bell Tower, standing next to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore. - Battistero di San Giovanni - Finally, enter through the “Gates of Paradise” to the Baptistery of Saint John, located across from the Duomo Cathedral. You will receive guidance on the technical and artistic aspects of the architecture before the tour concludes.
The tour lasts about an hour and a half, the perfect duration to explore the highlights of Piazza Della Duomo.

Brunelleschi’s dome - The Cupola, designed and constructed by Filippo Brunelleschi, features narrow corridors for climbing up and down. This is because the workmen who built the cathedral for maintenance never anticipated it being open to the public.
Inside the dome, admire Giorgio Vasari’s frescoes of the Last Judgment (1572-9) up close, with an intriguing explanation of the frescoes as you ascend to the top. Look down, and just above the drum, you’ll notice that Baccio D’Angelo began adding a balcony in 1507, and one of the eight sides was left unfinished, with the other seven sides still in rough brick today!
Upon reaching the top of the Cupola, you’ll be enchanted by the panoramic view of Florence city before your eyes.
After visiting the Cupola with your pre-reserved timed ticket, you have the opportunity to explore the interior of the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Santa Reparata, and climb Giotto’s Bell Tower at your own pace and time.
