The exterior is arranged in three vertical levels and topped with a double vault comprising eight internal segments and an eight-sided prismatic roof. You can visit the Baptistery with the same ticket, exploring at your own pace without any rush.

Our tour is fully guided by an official expert: don’t miss the opportunity to learn everything about the frescos you will admire from a short distance while you are climbing the Dome. Exclusive access to the terrace is reserved, not available to the general public. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to be among the first to enter, escorted by the official key-holder of the day
- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements

- Please note the number of steps to reach the top of each monument: Terraces: 153 and Terraces + Brunelleschi’s Dome: 153 + 310
- Due to the security checks, please be informed that for the entrance to the Dome and Terraces, bulky backpacks and bags are not allowed to climb
- Children under 7 years old are not admitted
- Occasional events at the Duomo may cause slight itinerary changes
- You’ll have the opportunity to visit the other monuments of the Duomo complex on your own within 72 hours after the tour: Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Opera del Duomo Museum

Cathedral and Duomo Climb - The day couldn’t have been more perfect! We were blessed with beautiful clear day with mild temperatures. Our tour guide was so informative and very knowledgeable of the history of the Duomo. We so enjoyed the tour of the cathedral and the stories behind it. The climb to the top was adventurous and exciting! The views were phenomenal!
We were happy to hear that our ticket also included the museum and Giotto’s tower! All were terrific!

Duomo Terrace climb - Loved our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgable and shares a lot of great history. I had done research about the climb and knew it was a strenuous climb. Also knew my fear of heights would be challenged. Never felt unsafe and the view was absolutely worth it! Highly recommend

We traveled as a family... - We traveled as a family with 11 year old and 16 year old boys and we enjoyed the experience very much. The skip the line and the guided tour was very informative and we were able to appreciate what we saw very much!!! Would definitely recommend it. It saved us a lot of time and efficiently use our time.

Great views from the top of the dome - Our tour guide Sara was awesome. She started the tour with a friendly introduction and shared very interesting information about the Florence square we met in. I loved the ability to skip the line and see inside the duomo chapel. Sara knew a lot of history and shared such interesting information with us! The views, the art, and the history are incredible. I really enjoyed climbing to the top
Of the dome for the panoramic views of Florence. I recommend this tour. It’s the perfect duration to see what you need. Your ticket is also good for 3 days to visit the bell tour and a few other sites. So plan this early on in your trip so you can take advantage of using the ticket to see the other sites and museums. Highly recommended.

Great tour and no lines, definitely worth it for us! - We had a great time, booked online, received very clear instructions on where to meet the guide. She was great, and the audio ear-buds they gave us worked well. We walked past loads of queuing tourists, straight into the Duomo Cathedral, and then up into the long staircase up to the dome itself and the most magnificent views of Florence from the terraces. This tour does cost quite a bit more than buying the tickets yourself and waiting in the lines, but for us it was definitely worth it, thanks!

Worth it! - I wasn't interested in walking the hundreds of stairs in high heat, but sure, it was worth the experience, the history we learned, and the view from the top was beautiful!

Highly recommend the Duomo sky walk. - Sarah (tour guide) was amazing! Highly recommend the Duomo sky walk tour - so worth it. Not for folks who can’t handle tight spaces or 450+ steps. If you can - DO IT! Most beautiful way to see Florence. Sarah adds amazing historical commentary along the way. 10/10 recommend.

Mixed feelings - Okay so I gave this tour 4 stars but my husband and I have different opinions! He loved it and thought it was great! I on the other hand felt we spent entirely too much time on certain parts and felt as though this tour drug out. I also did not like just standing on a ledge it felt claustrophobic. My husband thought it was very detailed he agreed it drug on a little much but he enjoyed the views and seeing the top of the duomo!

Skip this tour - We did the awakening tour. We were told to meet at 6:30, but didn’t start until 6:45. We walked back and forth around the Duomo, went inside for 10 minutes, then took a 20 minute breakfast break? Then walked around the duomo some more then finally went in to do the climb at 8:15. The climb was incredibly rushed, we were out by 9am. Tour guide was constantly checking her phone, never introduced herself, and seemed like she wanted to get the tour done as fast as possible. Everything felt very disorganized and there was a lot of wasted time. Very disappointed.
