Climb or Not, Best Tour With Kids to Skip The Line - I can’t say enough good things about this tour. I read previous reviews about skipping the line and that was my main concern traveling with 2 children under 3. We walked right in the cathedral via private door and had a brief tour from a very knowledgeable guide. She walked us from the back of the cathedral to the dome explaining key points. Then she escorted us to a staircase where we could start the climb. There was no one else in line for the climb and my husband and I went right up. On the way down, I counted maybe 200 people going up to the dome and realized we had a pretty unique experience not having to wait in the dome climb line either! Only 2 of the 6 of us made the climb and it was still worth it just to skip the cathedral line and walk have a private tour.

I was skeptical but it... - I was skeptical but it was on time, the guide was great. It was a manageable group, informative but not too much. The climb to the dome was a bit more challenging than anticipated but worth the effort!

Improvements needed re pre information - Really good but feedback for organisers: Need to state where meeting point is. Be consistent on dress code. On my guided tour I was asked to change the blouse I was wearing before going into the Duomo as it was felt it didn’t sufficiently cover my shoulders. Others in there were in strappy tops and shorts. If you are claustrophobic don’t go into the dome.Steps leading up there extremely narrow with lots of people. Take lots of water!

Beautiful view - Very handy that you can skip the queue. The guide is waiting at the entrance and together you can walk inside. Once you're inside, the guide leaves. It is highly recommended: you have a beautiful view!

Climbing to the top of... - Climbing to the top of the Duomo was a challenging, but neat experience. I felt like our actual tour of the church was very rushed, and it was hard to hear our guide at times because she wasn’t using a headset. We also didn’t really get a chance to explore the church when she wasn’t using done talking, as we were led right to the steps to start the climb. When you exit the climb, you exit the church, so we would have had to wait in line to get back in.

We took the tour that... - We took the tour that included climbing to the top. Climbing to the top was incredible and this part of the experience was 5/5 stars for sure! My regret w this tour was that we only got a short guided tour and then were taken to the stairs. After climbing the stairs we were not allowed into the cathedral to see more it. I wonder if the other tours provided a more complete tour of the cathedral. I was disappointed by how little I actually saw of the cathedral and that is why my overall number of stars is lit for this particular tour.

Not worth the money.... - Not worth the money. Guide was difficult to understand. Duomo unimpressive and the guide just left when we started the difficult climb to the dome.
