Santa Maria del Fiore, which held the record for being the largest basilica at the time of its construction with a length of 153 meters, still manages to awe its visitors with its enormous size.
Constructed concurrently with the church, Giotto’s tower serves as the Cathedral Bell Tower.
The tour includes a visit to the Baptistery of Saint John, adorned with precious mosaics, and the Cathedral museum that houses the original ‘Gate of Paradise’ crafted by Ghiberti and Michelangelo’s moving Pietá!

- Please remember to bring all of your IDs. A double check will be done by the Duomo’s staff. If names on tickets and those on the IDs won’t match, access will not be allowed
- Appropriate clothing is highly recommended. Please be aware that access to holy sites requires a strict dress code. Shoulders and knees have to be properly covered.
- Visitors accessing the monuments, before entering, must MANDATORY leave inside the Luggage Storage suitcases, backpacks, parcels, containers large and medium-sized bags and other types of objects. Visitors who present themselves at the entrance with objects prohibited by the regulation will not be able to enter
- Visitors are required to climb 463 steps ( if Dome option selected). No lifts (elevators) are available.
- The climb is not recommended for people suffering from heart problems, vertigo, claustrophobia and for pregnant women
