The meeting point is in Piazza della Signoria, just below the bronze statue of Cosimo I on the horse. Facing Palazzo Vecchio, it is on the left side of the piazza, where also the Gucci store is. Look for your guide holding a Walkabout Tours sign.

Great tour and super convenient/informative - Becky was our guide and was phenomenal. She has a tremendous grasp of history and arts, and explained everything to the family so well. They also made use of headsets so we were able to roam around and still hear all the great information. Seeing the David in person was exceptional and convenient. This is 100% the way to do it.

What an amazing tour! - Such a delightful tour, and Becky was truly the best guide we could have asked for! She was incredibly kind and absolutely impressed us with her deep knowledge of Florence’s history and her remarkable storytelling. Visiting the Accademia would not have been the same without her. She walked us through the rich backstory behind every masterpiece, starting right from the streets and building up to David as the grand finale - the cherry on top! She even offered to take lovely photos of us along the way. One of the most pleasant and memorable experiences my husband and I had in Florence. Worth every penny - highly recommend!

Andrea Provides the Best Walking Tour to See & Learn About Michelangelo’s David Statue!! - Andrea’s walking tour was the highlight of our time in Florence! I highly, highly recommend it. She provides an amazing background & history about Michelangelo, his eduction and training, the history & details of the famous David statue, and highlights of the museum. She was very good at coordinating the meeting point and directing us to skip the crazy lines to enter the Aacademia museum, which can be confusing. We had several seniors who could not participate in the city walking portion of the tour due to the summer heat, but Andrea had no problem coordinating a meeting time with them directly at the museum.
The only minor issue was the company charged us the full adult price for the two children in our group, when in reality those tickets were heavily discounted. Well worth it though to support this excellent, cost effective way to get tickets into Academia. To experience a wonderful two hour walking tour of Florence (Duomo & Piazza della Signoria) & the museum was a nice bonus. The tickets to the museum were sold out, but for a very reasonable price Walkabout Tours provided an all inclusive visit to experience the incredible David statue. Thank you Andrea for a wonderful experience! I hope to have the opportunity in the future to participate in any other tours she provides of Florence. Grazie mille!

Top Tour - Our tour guide Becky was English so there were no communication probs with we Aussies. She was also fluent in Italian and possessed a detailed knowledge of Florentine art and history which she shared with us with enthusiasm. Michelangelo, who was also obviously into great detail himself, would have enjoyed this tour.

One of our favourite parts of Florence! - Andrea was an incredible guide and made this tour one of our highlights in Florence. There had been a small logistics mix-up with our booking, and the organization was very quick to remedy the situation over Whatsapp and get us on a tour the next day.
Andrea was very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and evidently passionate about the art and history of the city, and of the Galleria itself. This tour was WELL worth the cost. Thank you for a great experience!
