A beautiful day in the country - Had a wonderful time. Orvieto is a charming town. Today we saw a fresco in the Vatican museum depicting the Pope reviewing the miracle. Assisi is so very peaceful even though it was quite busy. Such a relief after the big cities of Florence and Rome. Our guides were amazing, very informative.

This Day Tour is Well-Worth It! - We arranged a Day Tour Trip: Heart of Umbria to discover the enchanting towns of Orvieto and Assisi through Viator. The tour was organized by Ciao Florence Tours. Our guide, Julian, along with our driver, Oswaldo, were fantastic! Julian provided us with fascinating historical insights about both Orvieto and Assisi. Sarah, our local guide, did an excellent job sharing the history of St. Francis of Assisi. Although it was a long day, Julian ensured we followed the itinerary to maximize our experience. Oswaldo was a careful driver and a true gentleman, assisting passengers as they exited the van. It was definitely a worthwhile investment!

Would definitely recommend - This tour company is very organised and professional. They made the check in process east and they are easy to find in there bright pink tops. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to find the right spot. We did a visit the day before because we were a bit nervous we wouldn’t find it but it was very easy. The tour guide Maria Angela was so welcoming and knowledgeable she definitely made the day. Always had interesting facts about the areas we were travelling through and visited. It was a long day but it went smoothly and quickly because we were always kept engaged. The driver Richardo was fabulous and we felt very safe. I loved the tour and I was very impressed with Orvieto and Assisi. I would recommend be prepared for a 12 hour plus day and have some lunch in Orvieto are my tips

Umbria and Assisi Tour - The high point of any trip to Assisi is a visit to the cathedral. Unfortunately, at the last minute, literally, we were informed that we would not be visiting the cathedral due to an ongoing G7 meeting. G7 meetings are scheduled years in advance, so cancelling our visit due to the “unexpected” G7 meeting was absurd. Better planning, communication and honesty on the part of the tour company would have been appreciated.

The tour itself is all... - The tour itself is all day long, too long in my opinion. We arrived late and it would have been great to have been offered a closer drop off location. The town of Orvieto is beautiful but the time was too short to really explore it, have lunch in the pouring rain. The tour of Assisi was fantastic which was provided by a licensed tour guide. The driver and the staff were polite and respectful.

Joint tour - Normal excursion nothing out of the ordinary. The air conditioning of the vehicle only worked until the first stop, then I was dying of heat. Robert’s explanation was fine and so was the Guide in Assisi. I hired this tour especially to visit the San Patricio well that we arrived at around 10 and it was closed until 11.30 so I could not see it and nothing they did so that we could visit it. The cathedral was closed and we couldn't visit it either. The free national archaeological museum is also closed. Little free time we could eat only at 16:30 in a hurry. I've done a lot of paid tours and they usually offer bottles of water, nothing here. Pretty disappointing.
