The San Lorenzo Basilica is a masterpiece that perfectly showcases the influence of the Medici family, Michelangelo’s magnificent sculptures, and the glamour of the Chapel of the Princes. The basilica, which used to be the parish church of the Medici family, hosted all their prestigious and significant ceremonies. The church was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, the mastermind behind the Florence Dome, commissioned by the Medici family.

The Old Sacresty and numerous works by the sculptor Donatello can also be found in San Lorenzo.

The Medici chapels, known for their striking tombs and memorials, are located within the same church with a distinct entrance. These are renowned as Michelangelo’s exceptional creations.
