• Campanile di Giotto - Adjacent to Florence’s Cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower is a stunning example of Gothic architecture in Italy. Designed by Giotto di Bondone in 1334, this 84-meter-high tower is adorned with vibrant marble, sculptural panels, and statues. Although Giotto passed away before its completion, Andrea Pisano and later Francesco Talenti continued the work. • Battistero di San Giovanni - The Baptistery of San Giovanni, one of Florence’s oldest monuments, is located in Piazza del Duomo opposite the Cathedral. Inside, the golden mosaic ceiling depicts the Last Judgment, while its bronze doors, notably Ghiberti’s “Gates of Paradise,” tell biblical stories. Construction began in 1296 and spanned over 140 years, culminating in the iconic Brunelleschi’s Dome.
