A guided backcountry trek with Tropical Treks begins by gathering at the designated starting point. Participants will then visit a nearby local attraction, such as a café or shop, to explore the area before setting off. Following this, the group will depart from the trailhead to commence the trek.

The journey will lead through diverse landscapes including wetlands, prairies, tropical forests, sandy paths, streams, campsites, scenic viewpoints, and backcountry roads. Throughout the hike, the guide will provide insights into the local flora, fauna, and ecosystems.

Understanding Florida’s hot and sunny climate, hikes are scheduled to start early and include strategically placed water drops. The guide is equipped with extra water and a water filter for emergencies. Safety is our top priority, so before departure, the guide will share a link that allows you or anyone you choose to track your live location in real-time.

This 4 to 5-hour hike concludes at either another local attraction or a different park, depending on the weather and client preferences.
