A must do!! Especially if with kids. - We went in to see what the aquarium offered. I am so glad we went in as we learned so much about the sea world. We jumped into a tour that had already started. MIKE was leading the group and did a FANTASTIC job explaining and was very welcoming to questions. If he didn’t have the answer, he was assured to get an answer in our case. It is nice to see someone take so much pride in their job. It is obvious that he cares for the fish there on a personal level. It was a great visit.

Turtles stole the show!! - The aquarium staff was amazing. The amount of knowledge was a sprinkle of humor was very impressive. It’s a small aquarium but packed with personality! I loved Spike and Lola!

It's smaller than it looks from the outside, but that's fine as it's 90 years old - Lovely small aquarium with really nice and helpful staff. Most is indoors but there is an outdoors area as well. Interior arguably is dated but I felt that was part of it's charm.

Great price but small. - Very small aquarium. Lots of different fish aquariums and some small areas for turtles. There is a place with some nurse sharks. I would recommend if you really like looking at different types of fish as the price is not that bad.

I have been to several... - I have been to several aquariums. This is a very small. You can walk through less than 30 minutes. It’s a nice to visit if you’re under 10 years old. Teenage I wouldn’t recommend.

Duped by the sign Aquarium - I diont know WHO said this was great! I went online to buy tickets at a discount through the company, glad I did!!! It was 33.00 for me and my grandson. The place was extremely small. It had some fish a couple Rays and a couple sharks. There was a couple turtles one of them looked like he was sick. It takes about 10 minutes or less to walk around the entire place. I really spent 33.00 to keep the people employed and the animals fed. If you want to feed the animals and keep people with a job, then go. Don't go thinking you're going to see something spectacular, just a heads up. My grandson was ready to go after 3 minutes.

Disappointed - Locals at the Hotel were I was staying recommended i visit The Key West Aquarium. What a disappointment. Only about 20 or so aquariums with some fish swimming around nothing impressive. Also some tanks had some small stingrays and a few turtles. One turtle was laying motionless and others patrons thought it was dead. We asked some of the staff there why that was. She replied. “It’s probably tired” not sure why a turtle would be tired from swimming around the very small tank that it was in. Turtles swim hundreds of miles in the open ocean and when they want to rest they sink to the bottom of the ocean so as to not attract attention to predators. This turtle was floating in the tank motionless. The $29.00 admisión they charged is not worth the visit. So if you’re in Key West don’t bother going to the Key West Aquarium. You will be waisting your money. Better spend your money getting a nice cold Piña Colada at the many local bars.
