The BEST EVER customized travel experience with Bill Grant! - I don't often write reviews, but I am delighted to be able to provide this one because of the excellent service that we received from Bill Grant! We had a very good idea of what we wanted to see in Northeast Scotland and in the Highlands/Cairngorms. We oriented our trip primarily around sites relevant to Clan Comyn and seaside villages/coastal life, sharing our itinerary with Bill in advance (and adjusting it beforehand with his input). We spent five glorious spring days traveling with Bill as our guide. Bill was extremely personable, knowledgeable and responsive to our requests, as well as being a safe and careful driver. He quickly got to know us and our preferences during easy conversations, researched questions on most evenings and presented us with options the next day to slightly alter our plans to accommodate interests. As we were traveling, Bill demonstrated thorough knowledge of Scottish history, current events, social conditions and language variations within the country ... all topics of interest to us. His welcome commentary added immensely to our understanding of what we were experiencing. But we could sense, too, that he knew when to let us simply "soak everything in." We wouldn't hesitate to arrange future travel with Bill and would very highly recommend him to others interested in traveling to this stunning part of the world!
