This flight gives you the opportunity to discover the scenic wonders of both the Fox and Franz Josef Glacier’s. With departures available from Franz Josef or Fox (separate schedules), you will be amazed by the wonderful blue ice of these two beauties as you soar across the snow covered pinnacles onto the snowfields of the Fox or Franz Josef glacier. These catchment areas, or Neve’s, accumulate years of Winter snow which over time descends into the lower valley’s as the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers.

A must-do experience, even if you don’t like flying! - From check-in to landing back at base, the experience was excellent! Brian our pilot was great, very informative and friendly. Landing on the glacier was just amazing, even threw a few snowballs!

Fox and Franz glacier tour - Fortunate to get good weather but anyway it was spectacular and breathtaking scenery. The best way to see the glaciers and to land on them was special. Wonderful views and unforgettable experience. Staff were very friendly, helpful and laid back but safety conscious. Recommended.

Magic - Absolutely outstanding & a must do. Every staff member was exceptional. And this experience I feel is a must do. We were incredibly lucky with the weather. This goes down as one of the experiences I’ve lived to date. Chris and Dee you are awesome

Best in town - After being completely, dismissively and unapologetically stuffed around for several hours by their competitor across the road, my spirits were lifted when I experienced the exact opposite with Heliservices. I walked in and my family and I were on a chopper in 15 minutes flat. Customer service on point, pilot was awesome, helicopter was great. We did the two glaciers with a landing and it was even cheaper than what across the road we’re gonna charge me if they were organised enough to get us into the sky. I 100% recommend Heliservices Franz Josef!

5 stars experience, and our pick for accessibility! - The highlight of our trip! Although we ummed and ahhed over the price, this experience is the one we talk about the most from our entire 2 weeks in NZ!
We chose HeliServicesNZ because of their responsiveness and Can Do attitude to our accessibility needs. Brad enthusiastically and promptly replied to my email asking about access, ground crew member Kevin was a gem helping us in and out of the helicopter at the base, and pilot Ash was fantastic in assisting us on the glacier (and just generally awesome as well!).
Having said that, getting in and out of the helicopter was more challenging that I anticipated, with it being quite a squeeze through small doors, and small foot-sized steps to climb up on, so do check with them regarding your specific accessibility requirements.
As a group of four adults we had our own little helicopter and we were positioned so that we all had the best view :)
The organisation was flawless, on time and stress-free, we couldn't fault them.
And to top it off, we were blessed with the most beautiful blue day!

Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers Rock‼️ - First things first. No helicopter ride anywhere in the world is going to be inexpensive. We shopped around, struggled with the prices (which were similar across multiple providers) and decided to go with Heliservices.NZ they were locally owned and friendly. But, to be clear, we found that the price paled in comparison with the incredible once in a lifetime experience this turned out to be. We took the "Flight 3" which flew over both Fox and Franz Josef glaciers and included a snow landing. We will never forget this experience. Put it on a credit card, pay for it later, but do not pass up this amazing experience.

Bad Experience - This is more for the service, the views are amazing of what I saw thank goodness for the snow landing. We arrived for our flight on time in Fox only to be told that there were not enough people and had to wait 2 hrs. We mentioned we were driving to the east coast that day. We had already driven from Queenstown the day before to make sure we made the early flight. They suggested there is one at Franz Josef but we really felt they were dismissing us, why suggest times available when they are not, could have moved others to the next flight and we go on the next one but no. Go to Franz Josef thinking earlier flight but no had to wait an hr so now 2 hrs after my scheduled flight. Get on the flight and I was stuck in the middle was told they rotate people around but NO did not get rotated. It was a birthday present to myself so was extremely upset and actually cried after. My view was of everyone's heads with partial views of the glaciers. Will never go with this company again. Definitely ruined my birthday experience.
