Cute, quick, and easy - This was a perfect quick tour. Just long enough to keep my kids interested. You get some history, some evolution of candy making with the displays and explanations and our tour guide did talk fast but allowed my kids to ask whatever questions they wanted - relevant or not. The staff was super friendly and helpful and we got to see candy being made. It’s an adorable local family owned place.

Short adventure to TN, brought us home through Frankfort, Ky - We missed our tour due to time difference (my mistake) but enjoyed stopping at the store and talking with staff. Learned a lot by just conversation and from the history flyer they shared with us. We also got to sample the famous bourbon ball candy-very good and bought some for home. They have other candy’s they make too.
I think it’s pretty neat that only a select few know the recipes and the 4th generation comes into the shop and make recipes, as they are that secret.
Definitely worth stopping and also exploring Frankfort the capital of Kentucky-there is several sites of history there. The town was quiet when we visited, the people are very nice.
We stopped at Hoggys ice cream for a quick treat also. Very nice place and kind staff.

KSD Summer School students visit Rebecca Ruth Candy Factory - The Rebecca Ruth Candy Tour was awesome. Ky School for the Deaf visited with over 50 people for our summer school program. The staff was so nice and accommodating. We highly recommend a visit here.

Interesting but Hasty Tour - The tour is super quick with not a lot of time to look over the materials and artifacts. It did seem to be interesting for our group of adults and children. Probably a bit overpriced, though.

Small Scale Operation - We wouldn't recommend this tour to friends. Our tour guide was nice; however, her English wasn't great, which made her seem like she lacked knowledge. We were rushed through the small museum portion of the tour. The museum was not at the end of the tour, and we were not offered any additional time in the museum. The entire tour took 30 minutes. You start off with a short history video and watch a few other videos down the production hallway, which is about 60 feet long. The artifacts down the hallway were interesting, but not much information was provided on them. The tour quality is what you'd expect from a free tour. I learned just as much from their brochure as I did during the tour.
The most frustrating part of the experience was the treatment we received when we arrived 2 minutes late for our tour. The lady who checked us in made a huge deal about it and kept rolling her eyes. Additionally, instead of just allowing us to join the group quietly, she made sure everyone knew we were joining and rolled her eyes when the guide acknowledged us. Life happens, and people do run late, I wish her customer service was a bit more understanding. Additionally, their chocolates are expensive.

Don’t bother - This was probably the worst tour I’ve ever paid for. When asked where they get their chocolate from the tour guide said they made it there. It was just a waste of 30 minutes and $10 in my opinion.
