Typical Hop-on-off bus.... - Typical Hop-on-off bus. We got a good overview of Frankfurt and then walked around. No issues noted.

Nice way to see the sights - We had booked the bus months ago before leaving the UK but on the day when we arrived at the start point found a sign saying no tours today due to a protest. We were shocked that nobody had contacted us to let us know. We managed to get the payment credited and returned the following day. There are different options for routes plus the option to add a river cruise. We opted for the standard express hop on hop off. We departed around 10 and did a whole circuit making note of where we would like to get off on the second trip around. The audio descriptions were clear and good, there were many language options. On the second trip we went up the Main Tower and the Museum area. Overall we enjoyed the tour. It was a good way to see the city and decide where to spend more time.

Decent Way to Learn About A City - This is exactly what you would expect for a “hop on / Hop Off” city tour. The only complaint is that we purchased an upgraded route that had more stops but we never were told how to access those stops. We tried switching from a green to a red bus since the routes on the map we were given were those colors, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. Both routes were the same.

Poor - Unable to use on the day due to carnival in the city, with roads blocked off, security & police everywhere. No notification given by hop on hop off or Viator.

Too long a wait - Waited at a stop for 40 minutes to get on and buy tickets but no bus arrived. As we only had half a day decided we couldn’t wait at each stop that long Took uber instead.

Do a walking tour instead - I Bought the tickets online and pay for the bus and a boat ride when I got there a festival was happening so no bus and no sign indicating a new pickup location (this happened on a Sunday). I called trip advisor customer service and they called Grayline CS they didn't pick up. TACS is working on a refund and is being 10 days. I went 2days after (Tuesday) the bus was there and I have to buy new tickets to get in, I pay the same price as online but they said that the boat only works on the weekends nowhere online says that and they only have 2buses so if I got down anywhere it was going to be a 2 hour wait for the next bus. The information given is not worth the money. Is better to do a walking tour

Misleading Tour - Absolutely worst tour we did. We booked online for hop on hop off express bus to do a tour of Frankfurt. When we arrived to get on, there were No signs up. We only knew the location as we saw the bus the previous afternoon. When we arrived , the staff told us that we had the wrong ticket as the bus we needed went the other way. The staff told us to jump on board as the other bus was at least 20 + minutes away. Seemed strange but we did let her know that we wanted the express tour not the Skyline tour. We get on to find out this was the Skyline tour and no way of hopping off. Tour was ordinary and staff rude. After doing previous trips with them, I will never use them again and would suggest other guests doing the same. When I mentioned it to them that this was misleading as we brought express tickets and Hop on Hop off knowing full well that they could not fulfill their trip, why wasn’t this displayed the the online booking. False Pretense to take money. Contacted company and only explanation they gave was to give their staff further training. A waste of $36 Euro. Peter B

Absolutely NOT recommended - Attention, this tour is a huge disappointment! We booked the ticket to explore the city and see where we might want to go again the following day. To make a long story short, it was a mess. The drama started with the non-existent signage of the stations (we ran around the main station for three quarters of an hour and missed the first tour with it). When we were finally able to drive, we had to get off at St Paul's Church, after one stop. So we got back on after another hour of waiting and left, we had to get off at the next station again, because the bus was broken. Well, that can happen. BUT the unfriendly ticket seller's handling of us about 30 stopped customers was an absolute boldness. First they said we had to wait another hour for the next tour. Then she called the head office (?) and was made a snail from there. Then we were allowed to board. If we had known that we weren’t going on the express tour, we wouldn’t have done that. We drove a totally boring route, got only a few information and arrived back at St. Paul's Church after an hour (due to "2h tour"). Actually we wanted to go to the palm garden and waited for this stop during the tour. However, the stops were not announced. At the end of the tour we asked if we would stop there on the next tour, we just got the unfriendly answer "what we would think. There would certainly be no time for this with the traffic." With the note that you booked a hop-on hop-off tour to get off and on we were just ridiculed with the words "this is not intended, we don't have time for this". We were left with that. By the way, the driver was no friendlier, quite the opposite. So please, hands off this waste of money...:-(

Not recommended - Price/performance does not fit at all. 26.€ p.person for 1 hour bus tour and very little information. Compared to Munich-Düsseldorf-Heidelberg on this round trip very sporadic or No information is mentioned. It is driven over the Main without any mention of the river. Travelling tourists felt that the earphones were defective. For this reason, we cannot recommend the bus tours offered.
